Photo As Avatar
 

This mod completely disables standard avatar functionality and generates avatars automaticaly from profile photos. That helps with 2 points:

• "Socialize" you forum. Real visitors likes to se their faces.
• Simplify usage. Many people don't understand, why they can upload pictures in 2 places, and what is the difference.

Also, this mod makes sexy rounded corners for avatar. It seems strange, but forum impression become much better. See attached images.

Features:

• Automatically generates avatars from profile photos
• Round corners for avatars
• PNG avatar format, compatible with any skin background
• Mass rebuild avatars via ACP

How to install:

• Upload files from appropriate folder and import product XML
• Go to ACP and change settings each group. Those are recommended:
  • 160х160px - profile photo size
  • 80x80 - avatar size
• Go to ACP -> Rebuild counders. Run "Rebuild avatars from photos"

Have you tried it with 3.8.7? It says it works on all 3.8 versions. 3.8 mods usually work on ALL 3.8 versions.

i've already move from dbase to file system for avatar and attachment, there's mention of group storage also need to move, where can i locate the group-> stroage type in the acp?

then i run counter rebuild again i recieve error on line 36 and 37, any idea what's wrong? help.............

This mod probably works completely fine on 3.8.7.

The error you are getting:
Means you did not upload the files to the right location on your server. The files in the /upload/includes/ directory have to go to your forum's /includes/ directory.

I know this because (assuming your forum is the forum in your profile) when I go to this link:
I should see a blank page, but instead I get a "404 Error- File not found" so the file is not in the correct location.

Probably none of the files for this mod are in the correct location.

but in the test forum only when it works is it in the main forum.
