VSa - Login To User Account
 

Info:
This will allow forum administrators to simply login to user accounts (to test forum functions, permissions etc...). View screenshots.

Installation:
-Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > VSa - Login To User Account

It actually works.

well happy and installed

first bug, once it is installed, it gives the CMS page a white page, disabled the mod and the /content.php page works.

So leaving disabled until fixed

Need change template hook key: profile_sidebar_first

Tried to log in on a test user account via admincp and got a window open and a blank page.., didnt show up in users profile either.. would lke to use this tough.. :)

It only shows in ACP under user's account and when clicked I get this error

Fatal error: Call to a member function hide_errors() on a non-object in /home/XXXXXXX/public_html/forums/packages/vbcms/controller/content.php(84) : eval()'d code on line 4

Can I suggest that you make it uninstall/update the Cyb entry(product) if it's present instead of adding a new one :P?
(I know people can just uninstall the cyb version but ehrmm doing it the other way would be nicer :P)

Works for me but one problem

When i login as another user it they cant login it gives this error

Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password?

can you add the "Admin, You are currently using BeT@'s account. Click here to go back to your admin account." - information in all screens - CMS blog and not only in the forum screen - that would be very usable for me - i hope that is no problem for you ?!

at the moment i have no vbseo problems with hack - thats great

Found a bug...If you "Login as user" for a banned account it does not display the message to allow you to go back to the admin account.

I specified 3 admins total (I and my two other admins) and set us all to be able to login to user accounts (the first field to edit)
But I only specified my self as to be able to login to admin accounts.. But one of my admins could actually login to my account which they shouldn't.. Could you look into this?

im confused valter. Did you used to go by the username cybernetec? I ask, because when I view your profile, all the 3.x mods and older are by cybernetec and then beginning with 4.0 it is valter.

not sure why/how, but installing this messed up some profile pic options. users could not see others profile pics on their profile pic pages (even regular users, not using this mod)... uninstalled for now.

Log-out, clear forum cookies, re-login, then try again.
I've changed my username.

Valter = Cybernetec.

Cyb - mods are now VSa - mods.

I seem to have the opposite result than most, I have the Login as User option in the user profile, but I do not have it in the ACP Users dropdown. And, yes, the setting is enabled. ;)

I first installed "the other" mod that does the same thing, but it didn't work in either place. So for now, I'm happy to have half a mod, which is certainly better than none. :)

Thanks to Lynne's help, I have found one tiny flaw in this. At least for my forum. The log in user link displays in the users profiles to non registered/not logged in users, and not just admins.

CREATE CONFLICTS WITH AND CHANGE GCBOS all special characters, and some letters PARTICULARLY THE Ñ
