Info:
Easily check if the same or similar thread already exist when you are going to create new one.


Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
2. OPTIONAL: If button is not shown, open 'newthread' template and add '{vb:raw vsacheckifposted}' after:
To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > VSa - Check If Already Posted

v1.0 - May 18. 2006.

v1.6 - May 03. 2008.
-Latest 3.x version
v2.0 - Jan 17. 2010.
-Updated for vBulletin 4.x
-Mod prefix (Cyb) changed to 'VSa'

Great mod, there was another on 3.8.x that shows you the actual posts as soon as you finished entering the title but this is really good and we were lacking something like that since the vb4 migration.

A mod like this allows for site owners to minimize double posting and revive older posts with new updates. Absolutely perfect!

Does this work with RSS Feeds too? I have a news site and on rare occasions similar news items appear. It would be great if there was a way to automate a prevention of double/similar posts.

On the crackberry forums there is a mod that just automatically shows if there are similar threads. Could this add on be configured in a way that allows a box like this to be populated?

it's another MOD. Search "Similar threads ajax" and found it :)

That is a V3 mod. I was wondering if this could be made to work the same way as it is very similar.

I'm on 4.0 and did everything as supposed to but shows nothing and is a Mod i will like to have on my site.

show it directly it's better... the users are a "bored animal" and they don't click on a butto to check if it's already posted...

As per my post it still doesn't work

Someone has writen a script for this to work as ajax I have seen this working 100% on a vb4 forum just waiting now for some clever coder to do the same for this release

after upgrade 4.02 not working ! i reinstall the xml but no result

I personally like this idea myself.

Ok, the updated version now works on 4.0.2
But I do agree, in the above post is really good, I have that installed on my 3.8.4 version, there's no need to click any button with it, when you go to type in the Message box it will auto find any new Threads.
