Installation Instruction:

Installation is easy. It does not change any of your forum settings or overwrite any
of your existing forum code and configuration. Simply follow the procedure below:

Step 1

Create yourself an account at http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php. Once you have logged in
to the website, you can download the largest version. If you are not sure you are
using the latest version. Download a new one from
http://www.tapatalk.com/download.php. You can follow the rest of the instruction
from tapatalk.com onward if you want. Otherwise read on:

Step 2

Upload the zip package at the root of your forum system.
Unzip the package. You should see a directory called "mobiquo" inside your forum
system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum,
it should be placed at http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.


Step 3

Login to Administration Control Panel (admincp) in your server.
Choose "Style Manager" under "Styles and Templates".
Choose "Edit Template" in your current template.
Click "Edit" in your current template
Choose "headinclude" in the list, click "Edit"
At the bottom of the editor, insert the following line:

Click "Save".


Step 4

Visit http://www.tapatalk.com/addforum.php to enter your forum URL and upload you forum
logo there. It will allow end-user to find his way to your forum using the Tapatalk
app.

Step 5

Visit http://www.tapatalk.com/landing.php to confirm the setup so you can select
whether you want to publish your site to the public listing or you want to set it up
so it is complete private to other end users.

Installed and it works (i've open a thread on my forum and it works).
But i receive an email with this:

I followed the install instruction from the homepage, but when i want to verify the installtion, i get "not installed" as message.

Using VB 4.0.0 Suite. Tried to point at root domain, forum.php & index.php. heder template is also edited correctly.. what did i wrong?

I was tempted to install this the other day on my iPhone, but then decided to wait.

Works great with no errors so far. Can't wait for the full release version. Only thing I have ran into with this beta version so far is the Bookmark option.

It informs me: 'This forum has an older version of Tapatalk and does not support this function'.

Installed and worked OK on my forum but when I tried to upload an image I got the following errror.

Mobile Upload Failed

It appears that this forum has not enabled Tapatalk Mobile Upload, please check with your forum administrator.

Any ideas?

That will not be available until the next version. I ask the same question on their site because I was having the same issue and that was what I was informed of. :)

That will be great when it is enabled. I have a number of photos on my phone and that is by far the easiest way to send them to the forum. Or it will be when it's working.

Installed to my forums and got a "Not Installed" on publishing.

My forums are 4.0 Gold and private.

I made the changes to 3 lines in mobiquo.php since forums are private but still the publishing fails.

I noticed the CONF folder and CONFIG.TXT files:


is_open=1
guest_okay=1
reg_url=register.php
version=vb40_0.9.0
suffix=
hide_forum_id=

Seems that these should be modified. what should their values be for a private forum?

Any help would be appreciated.

We have just released another update as 0.9.1 which has fixed a lot of issues. I don't think this release address all the issues you guys posted here but surely we are looking into them.

You need to edit the URL in the record without the /forum.php and give it a try.

If your forums are private to all (require password), then you will have to edit the file mobiquo.php and change the define lines to:

define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'register');
define('CSRF_PROTECTION', false);
define('CSRF_SKIP_LIST', 'login');

After this, works like a charm. Fast loading@!

Once this is out of beta, I will be thrilled to re-install.

URL given is http://www.guitarblast.com (tried different variations but this format has always worked for me with other sites I have it installed on) and the forum is not private. It just doesn't pass the test when verifying.

Nothing is impossible. Just take time. I can imagine it will be a lot easier to moderate with this tool.

Well I'm quite shure there was no mobiquo folder in the zip package, when i donwloaded v90 and 91, so I unzipped it in my forum root and had no mobiquo folder. Now it works.

But i have another problem, I'm using ther Nokia S60 App for my Nokia N97 to use Tapatalk.

1. Problem: When i start the app, it tells me, taht there is a full version at Nokia OVI Store, but i cant find there anything. Is there any other shop, to get this app in full mode?

2. Everything works fine until I'm logging in. When I'm logged in and want to browse forums in a category i get the following error message: Response recieve from the server is invalid. Please try again later.

For other forum e.g Tapatalk Community it works fine.

Looks like something broke my css code.
My admin page is fine, my forum is FUBAR.

Good thing it was my test site.
I'll restore my test site and try again.

Skip step 2 if the additional javascript break your style, which it shouldn't. Can you be more descriptive of how it FUBAR you site? and how you restored it? I suppose you simply rollback to style change (which is just one line of html) and it should be okay. I would be very concern if it "FUBAR" you site if you mean it takes down your whole site???

Hey thanks for this feedback on Nokia, we really need more Nokia users to really test out the app.

Where did you get the Tapatalk for Nokia app? from the http://www.tapatalk.com/nokia/tapatalk.dm ? The reason I am asking is the app is currently being reviewed by Ovi, which recently they rejected it because of few quality issues which we are working on it. If you are interested I would be able to send you whatever latest so you can give it a try.

We will give it a try on your server and see how it goes. Are you able to PM me a test account to your forum? If possible, go check out http://www.tapatalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=24 and tell us what you think of it.
