Z - Postbit Options
 

I always felt that this option should be a default in VB and never has been and I don't know why not. Anyway this give you the options to remove Join Date and Location from postbit and postbit_legacy without having to edit any of the templates to do so.

Z - Postbit Options:

• all options are in your Admin CP
• independent options
• no template editing needed

Installation:

1. Import product-z_po.xml
2. Goto --> Admin CP --> Settings --> Options --> Z - Postbit Options and make your settings.

Remember to clicc install.

Lynne gave me the idea for this since I didn't want to edit the templates.

This seems like have a solution. How about allowing you to easily enter new categories to postbit without the need to fiddle with templates? You leave custom text fields for such thing as Browser, Computer OS, etc?

wow this mod screams potential. Wondering how hard it would be to add a feature so that you could add your own profile field numbers and disable or enable them in the postbit from the acp

Honestly I really only made it to clean up the postbit since it displayed so much info that really didn't need to be there. I guess I could change it around and add stuff to be displayed/

I understand the need to clean up unwanted/unnecessary things in the postbit. but on my forum it would be nice to be able to do both as our postbit Legacy is huge. they are almost mini profiles. getting rid of a few things would be nice, but only so that i could add more usefull stuff there in its place. ;) lol the double edged sword
