Extended Reputation Display

This hack extends the existing reputation display system from just the light/dark green pips to green and golden pips, and then a series of bronze, silver and gold stars as the pips limit is reached.

The dark green pips are followed by light green pips, which are then followed by gold pips.

When the limit these can display is reached, the (prefix) display of stars begins - starting with the bronze stars, then the silver stars and finally the gold Stars. If your reputation is zero then the neutral grey pip is displayed. Negative reputations are displayed in a similar manner using light and dark red pips and red stars - however, there is only one star level for negative reputation.

Each time you 'lap' the limit of the pips display, another star is added. The number of each star is limited by an ACP option (by default, 5 bronze = 1 silver, and 5 silver = 1 gold). The number and value of the pips in each group of pips is defined by six settings.

A line break can be inserted after the stars. The extended display system can be enabled/disabled in the options.

All options are in ACP > Options > Extended Reputation

To install just download and unzip the files and follow the instructions in the text file.

You can create your own gif images to replace the supplied ones if you want a different colour.

Hi Paul M, this installed fine, but then i delete my test rep's in admincp, it still shows the rep on the user forum pages.

It extends the reputation system built into vb.

After installing this I noticed when you place your mouse over the repo green dots it doesn't say the little sayings any more ", it just shows as "reputation"

In older versions of vb I used $post[reputation] but it does not work on vb 4.x

Good hack. But it keeps on adding images with the values. Don't it replace existing image?
Say if dark green image has a value of 100 reps and the count is set to 4, Light green has a value of 200 and the count is set to 4, this means up to 400 reps, it will display 4 dark green image and 4 dark + 1 light green for reps between 401-600.

I am looking for a replacement of images. Have a example :
If dark green image has a value of 100 reps and the count is set to 4, Light green has a value of 500 and the count is set to 4.
As per this, my images should be replaced by a light green image when reps reaches 500.

Is this possible with this hack? Or is there any other hack for the same?

No, this will not do what you are asking, at least not for the pips. As I recall the stars work like that.

I really want to display the reputation and rep power like that, but use your mods with it.

As long as you leave in the bit mentioned, it will work.

Is there anyway to re-enable setting the alt text of the images to reputation levels i.e. the sayings?
