Cometchat trouble..
 

i got vb 3.8.2 intalled right now, but anyway i follow direction completely and then it comes to install.php... it draws up blank on my browser and cometchat will not install i need genious help here lol

If you want support for comet chat, you should be posting at their site.

do you not believe i have done so? i mean seriously? i have waited for a ticket etc and no one has helped i even did so on the support board, i was asking the knowledge of fellow Vb users...

I tried to help somebody with this not long ago. I honestly think he'd be better off with two cans and a piece of string. It simply would NOT work reliably. The chat sessions are very laggy, very hit-or-miss. I think the plugin developer is in over his head.

I wonder if Arrowchat will be any better, or just more hype? :confused:

Is there a vB.org P2P chat mod.?

I uninstalled cometchat because of poor quality and worse support. Lesson learned.

CometChat's Administrative Staff sucks. That's why I switched to ArrowChat.
The staff there originally used to make CC Mods but no one donated so they made their own chat.

I suggest this chat box hack: Chatbox

If we wanted a chat box or "shoutbox" that would be great. Cyb has been making them for vB forever, but THIS is something different. :)

No P2P Chats afailk...haven't had the time to browse the mods for a few days.
