microMEMBERS (A much better Memberlist)

Yay first post. Checking this out now. :)

g00gl3r 12-30-2009 04:22 PM

Hmmm, installed but I appear to be missing a couple of bits. http://www.contractorforum.co.uk/memberlist.php

I've edited the usergroups but it appears I don't have the clickable links at the top of the page so you can search the members.

Any clues?

cykelmyggen 12-30-2009 04:23 PM

Nice mod with good options, microHellas:up: - working really fine on my testsite, thanks:)

You forgot step 2 of configuration:D Choose which usergroups you like to show in the memberlist.

So that's seperate to the usergroup permissions I see. Where do I do this? I can't seem to see it in the actual options. Am I going blind or what?

Edit: I'm blind. A note to all, it creates a new menu in the AdminCP! haha

Thanks Maria. Brilliant mod. This should be standard in VB.

M3xital 12-30-2009 04:47 PM

Thanks for this Mod Maria!
I have just this issue, when i click on Admincp>microMEMBERS>Usergroups I've got this error:

Code:

404 Error - File Not Found

The resource you have requested could not be found on the server. There are many possible reasons for this.

Either the file does not exist, there is an error in your request, or the file is not accessible in the requested directory.

Please verify that:

    * You have used the proper case; requests ARE case-sensitive!
    * You have entered the URL correctly. (i.e. proper directory/filename)
    * You used the FULL URL. (i.e. proper file type: .html, .gif , .jpg, etc.)

Never mind my bad, before uploading the files i forgot to rename the admincp folder.:o

Did you uploaded all the files or just the memberlist.php. Please check if at your forums/includes/xml exists the file: bitfield_micromembers.xml

Looks pretty good. Althouh you need to add paging to this. If you go to regiter users for example you only get so many and can't scroll through pages of them, you are forced to go to each letter.

Oppsss... I just forgot to add it to the template. I'll replace the file in some hours as I'm going to sleep now.

Sorry for troubles

Sorry for troubles. It was my mistake forgotten that there are users who have already installed the version for vb3 and have upgraded database to vb4.

I've just sent update email, and updated the zip file. Download the new zip file.

Lots of queries. I know it. That's why I've placed many switches to turn off some blocks. The very early version hasn't so many blocks. But members here were always asking "add this... add that".

Can you check please (with phpMyAdmin), if really the field micromembers exists in table usergroups? As I read in vb.com, there is a bug in vb4 code to installations that they don't use table prefix. And I seen you haven't assign a table prefix when installed vB. This bug has nothing to do with my mod.

Also, my friendly advice is to always use prefix. It's more secure by making your table names unknow to others. Otherwise, any script can drop (delete) your tables.

Maria

Hoffi 01-01-2010 08:17 AM

It looks interesting.

But it really does not fit into the new look of vB.

Click on the name of usergroups on the left and you'll see the structure of this table. Normally if exists, must be by the end. Dont click on the icon (left of the usergroups) as it will shows you the list of usergroups and not the structure.

Maria

pozo 01-01-2010 11:57 AM

Installed  Thank you!

webspider 01-01-2010 09:38 PM

Cool mod THANKS!

Is there anyway to remove the count from the usergroups?

abroad 01-02-2010 09:08 AM

when I click on the links on the top (e.g. registered users) then it does not show me all registered users. It always shows the same page (Top Posters last week, top posters last month). What do I need to change?

Follow Step 2. There is an option on microMEMBERS block at your admincp, where you need to assign which usergroup you want to appear.
