Site Slow?
 

My imagination or vb.org is slow?
vb.com is faster. Seems like vb.org has been kicked out of servers so they could have resources to themselves?

It is not your imagination. I have noticed the same exact thing.

verrrrrrrrrry slow the past few days.

It does seem to slow down sometimes.

Not for me, vb.com has also slowed down.

Thats pure speculation, not based on any facts.

Both have slowed down for me in the last week. In fact vb.com has been slower for me since about the time of vB4 beta 4.

yes, that was pure speculation. vb.com was very slow for me too. But lately, while vb.org got terrible, vb.com is easier to access with over 1000 connections

if we had full control of our own resources we wouldn't be having these problems

hummm I hope IB will not neglect vb.org.

today, vb.com is 25% slow... vb.org is 125% slow... i can't get a page before 8 seconds...

I am finding vb.org really, really slow all the time. vb.com is only slightly slow some of the time. There is a definitely difference in slowness between the two sites for me - vb.org is much, much slower than vb.com.

Yup, same for me, between 8 to 9 seconds.

Pages are often taking 10+ seconds to generate.

We have fixed a minor issue here, but the site remains slow - I believe from my analysis that mysql is responding slowly, causing page creation delays. Ive posted in the staff area on vb.com, this is all we can do as we have no access or control over the servers.

I wonder if this has to do with mail server? Sometimes I try to refresh right after I got an email notification (emails sent), then it is better.

Now that I no longer receive notifications, there seem to be an improvment.

Its speeded up here in the last hour or so.

Thank god I'm not the only one. I thought for a minute Paul installed his miserable users mod and I was the first sucker.

I dounno, call my Mulder but I suspect the mothership is sucking all .org's resources dry whenever more than 3 people are on the CMS at any one time. :D

A bit faster than this morning but aye yes slow as impulse... maybe soon Scottie will have the Warp engines fixed but then again vBulletin.com does seem to have trouble with tribbles recently eh?

I feel I am on dial-up here the past few day I thought it had to do with the amount of request for mods or help installing now vb4 is out. I am on a 10MB connection and it has been a thorn for me here as soon as I leave a thread it has a reply (new) as the loads are bad.

I think if I installed that atm, it would run faster ! :D

Funny, discouraging for me to visit though on seeing new or updated mods. I hate feeling like I am on dialup. I manage for the moment though. Site is still at a crawl.

I hope this get fixed soon. It is adding to the negatives that vb has been getting lately.

Yep it is a bit faster at this current moment but only a small marginal notice but getting a bit better.

I hope it gets fixed soon also. I know I'm skipping a whole lot of "help needed" threads simply because I don't feel like dealing with the (lack of) speed.

Someone needs to bribe Paul with a few cases of Dr. Peppers :D

Its back to being slow. 7-9 seconds between page loads. I thought it was my end because Brighthouse had an issue a few days ago where one of their hosts had an error and our internet was slow.

I tested other websites and they load fast.

You can if you want :) - but its out of my control - we are not IB staff, we have no server access. There is nothing I can do.

This is really painful. It felt like I had a birthday waiting for this page to load.

It's been happening on my end for a couple of days now too. It seems like once it comes up it loads fine but it's the wait for it that takes a while.

at least it makes vB4 on .com look fast :)

Site was doing good the past 24 hours and it is dead slow again. I sometimes get page cannot be displayed and such for the dead slow navigating. Thought I'd let you know about it again.

Its Being very slow again at the moment takes ages to load pages.

Someone call down to engineering and tell "Scotty" We need more power, these forums are almost unusable at times.

yup, still slow and rather annoying to search :(
I've started using google to search the site...

It's painful today taking nearly a minute to load every click. :(
