IMPORTANT NOTICE 2: This hack only works with FlashChat 6 and later versions, and will not work with either FlashChat 5.0.x. nor FlashChat 4.7.x.


What Does This Hack Do?[hr]Silver[/hr]
It is a update of my v3.8.x hack available here, designed to work with vBulletin 4.0.x and FlashChat 6.

This hack allows you to integrate the FlashChat 6 Admin Panel into your vBulletin Admin Control Panel, so all administration is done in one place, nothing more, nothing less. This hack does not in any way change the FlashChat 6 Admin Panel works, nor does it add anything extra to it.

It comes with Administrator Permissions, so you can limit which administrators you want to admin Flashchat via the AdminCP. You can even optionally remove FlashChat's own nav links - see the screenshots for comparison.

What hacks need installing before installing this hack?
These hacks need to be installed in this order and working correctly, for this hack to work.

1. Tufat's FlashChat v6.x.x
2. Paul M's Flashchat 6 Integration v4.0.x
3. Then install this hack.

Having an issue where "Messages" displayed "Error 4.0.4 : No permissions found for usergroup ." but that seems to be an issue with FC and/or the FC Integration, not this mod.

Fixed up the documentation, have not updated the version number, as the hack itself has not changed.

Yes, it does seem to be a problem with the integration..... it might not be the integration though, as there were issues with saving changed FlashChat Admin Panel settings with v5.0.x, so all those issues may not be fully fixed up yet.

It was working OK before I ran the integration. Fortunatly it isn't a show stopper.

Does anyone know why it stays the same skin after i try to change it in the ACP ?

It was an issue with the integration, but it has since been fixed with the latest update of that mod.

Suggest asking in the TuFaT forums. I recently found out that most of the skins listed in FC 6.0.6 don't actually exist. Only xp, aqua, default, and gradient are available.

One quirk (again, not a show stopper) is that the first time I click on any of the items in the sidebar from your mod, the flashchat admin home page is always shown. The second time I click it displays the desired page. Any ideas?

It has always done that with the FlashChat Admin Panel, so have always put up with it. I will however have another look at it, as I do with each version of FlashChat they release.

Yeah, it isn't something to difficult to do (click twice the first time) was just kinda quirky (which I think defines FC in general) =)

It is with regret that after over 4 years (and thousands of hours) spent providing free support for my free hacks released here, as of today I will no longer be able to provide support for free.

This is due to being unemployed for a while, being strapped for cash and unable to rely on the virtually non-existant donations from here to help to pay the bills or put food on the table for my family. I am now providing all support for my free hacks released here over at Wolfshead Solutions via an annual support subscription (for a small fee).

It does not mean I will be no longer release free hacks, I will, I just no longer be supporting them for free.

My free hacks have and always will remain free to download and use. And so will updates/bug fixes.

I will be releasing more free hacks, but if you require any support at all for those free hacks, you will need to purchase an annual support subscription over at Wolfshead Solutions to receive support.

I am really sorry I have to do this, but revenue generated by my programming gigs are now my only source of income, and I can no longer afford the luxury of providing free support here, when that time can be spent creating new commerial products, doing paid work requests or providing paid support to pay the bills.

I installed thie Flash Chat for VB 4.0 and ran into 2 small problems....

1. after installing the Admin Panel Integration and I click on Configuration. I receive the error page saying The requested URL /forums/chat/admin/cnf_config.php was not found on this server. I doubled checked and that file is not there.

2. Also when going to the chat room, what is the url I should use? So i can make the link on my main forum page. right now if I go to www.domainname.com/forums/chat it brings me to a white page reading at the top Welcome to FlashChat v 4.7.11 Start FlashChat using built-in login and I have to log in again.

At some point in the future, but no ETA at this time.

I have released free hacks here for a long time, actually it will be five years next month since I released my first hack here, for over four and half of those years I provided free support too. The reason I do not provide free support now is that I have been unemployed for a fair while and updating and creating new commercial products, supporting my paid subscribers and paying clients take president over my free hacks as they put food on my families' table and a roof over our heads and my free hacks do not, and that is why it is taking so long for me to get around to updating them.

"Flashchat seems not to be installed correctly" is the Message after Changing the Language to german

That is a problem with FlashChat itself, and not with this hack.... you will need to seek further assistance at official support forums for FlashChat - here.

in admincp FlashChat Admin Panel if i click on any of the drop down links below it i get white pages?..

Do you get a white page if you click any of the FlashChat links in the left hand column?

yes.. and if use flashchat on it's own not through vb.

I suggest you do the optional Step 6 of the Install/Upgrade Instructions.

Are there alternatives to this plugin and Paul M's Flashchat 6 Integration v4.0.x?

Both have been discontinued, but the forum I will be upgrading soon to 4.x, the members still want to use Tufat's Flashchat. What are our options for plugins, if any? I've searched, but only turned up other chat systems or the now unsupported (and undownloadable) plugins.
