Google Adsense Permissions
1 Attachment(s)
I was disappointed with VBulletin's Google Adsense Integration not allowing you to show advertisements only to specific usergroups. So with this modification you can now choose what usergroups you don't want seeing advertisements.
Installation 1.) Import the product-googleadsensepermissions.xml. 2.) Mark Installed. =] Usage Go into the AdminCP and add the Usergroups that you don't want to see the Google Adsense advertisements. Upgrading Import the product and select Allow Overwrite. Changelog 1.0 Release 1.2 Added an option to disable the modification for certain forums 1.5 Added an option to display alternative ads to the forums that you disabled the modification for. Special Thanks Thanks to consolegaming for giving me a snippet I needed to get it to work. |
Nice. Thank you.

Really not needed at all. It does exactly what I said it does and that's it. If you have a suggestion you'd like to add... let me know. |

stock users get ads.
modified users do not. werks perfectly like that. but a stock user with modified as an additional usergroup still gets ads. is there a fix for that? the reason I have it set up like that is for my paid subscriptions... I cant seem to figure out how to get their primary usergroup set back to stock after their subscription runs out so instead it just adds the additional usergroup and removes it when times up. any help would be much appreciated tx D |
Guess this doesnt work if your only on version 3.8.3?

Anything above 3.8.x I can not vouch for. Meaning I do not know if it will work on 4.0. |

Hey TheInsaneManiac,
I know many of us stayed with VB 3.8 too ... Is there anyway you can add a revenue sharing feature for forum members to your Mod here? The one mod I was using isn't supported anymore, and that last update came out buggie, so it's no longer useable for this purpose. Thanks ... |
Could you explain mmurtha?
As far as VB 4.0, I gave in to my members and went ahead and renewed with 4.0. Expect ports of all my products. |
With Help of this Plugin I have disabled the ADS for our VIP and GOLD members. This plugin + Google Adsense Plugin by vBulletin brings our forum arround 100 US Dollars every year. I am a Small Developer myself, and I was helping a friend to find a version for vB4, because I have used this plugin for years now. I noticed that there is none for vBulletin 4.x. I realised what an amazing Plugin this is! This Developer behind this Product is geniouse. He is using some options that fits perfect with the Adsense plugin released by vBulletin and can be downloaded from Members Area. By this it means that you can use this plugin WITH the Google Adsense plugin by vBulletin and have full control over your adsense. - You decide where you want your Ads to appear, and who you want to see it. They both work perfect together!! - You can enable the options for some usergroups and i can also enable it in the forums I want to! - You can also add my OWN ADSENSE which makes this perfect! - You can also enable and let some usergroups see the option, while at the same time there are others that cannot see it. Big Props and Respect to TheInsaneManiac. |

EDIT: Apparently the one I ported was meant for my needs initially. I will work to bring it to the current version, but here it is for 4.0. :) https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...50#post2446650 |

This Addon Works perfectly with vBulletin's Google Adsense Integration Addon for vBulletin 3.8. I use it to Disable Ads for certain Usergroups and Forums on my Forum Board.
If you guys want Install vBulletins "Google Adsense Integration" Addon then you dont even have to add any HTML Ads in the 3 Textareas. The Addon will Automatically assign the Ads in 3 Random Spots on your Forum. All you need have do is Install the "Google Adsense Integration" addon and Install the "Google Adsense Permission" product afterwards. Next Access your "Google Adsense Permission" Settings from your AdminCP and add the Usergroup ID's or Forum ID's for those Forums and Usergroups that you want to Enable/Disable the Adsense for. Why this ?
VBads already have a option to insert User groups to show ads then why this? |
