Okay, I added some better styles to my forum and I have about 24 members registered, nearly all being active.

First suggestion then. Get a real domain. There is a stigma attached to .co.cc domains as they're used frequently by scammers.

Sorry, but I see that as an accusation that you think I am a scammer. I will get a .com domain ONCE the site has a lot of activity and members

he just told you that .co.cc is frequently used by spammers, if he were to accuse you, it would be something like "Well you must be a spammer, considering you have a .co.cc domain"

I wonder that you paid for a licence of vbulletin which cost ~200usd but don't pay for a regular domain which cost only from 2-10usd/year?

It costs less here in the UK.
Erm, I am only 16 and I don't have all that money yet. I have had to pay for a license, an upgrade to the license, then pay for hosting. I've going broke and I am not wasting more money on domains yet.

Usually If you buy a hosting plan it also comes with free international domain through the time you using the service rite?

Not all of them, some do however are more expensive.

I may be getting a .com domain soon, but I will have to ask my mum, before I start going around buying domains.

why do you manually do the vbulletin copyright ? VB upgrades does not show patch levels to the public.

I've always done that. It lets the members know we are on a secure version of vBulletin.

What do you mean by your final question?

Do they really know the vbulletin release numbers? So if you wrote powered by 69.5.569 PL 12 would they still think it was secure?

What's so bad about the layout?

• Header too high
• Notice too large
• Ad placement offensive
• Welcome message toooooo long
• Stats largely irrelevant

I'm running 1680 x 1050 and I'm halfway down the page before I run into any worthwhile content.

1) WTH are you on about? The header is NOT too high
2) The notice is supposed to be large.
3) Just refresh the page. What's so offensive about the placement of an ad?
4) I edited it, so people know the benefits of joining
5) How are the stats irrelevant?

Most of these errors are just personal judgement. I find no errors of what you mentioned.

You have got way too much before you can even get to your boards, you have Header, Notice, Benefits of registration, advertisement, top 5 stats.

Never seen a board like it. I actually moreless have to scroll to the bottom of the page to get the START of the forums.

Okay, well, if someone wanted to help me on the forums fix the problem, then that would be great.

I removed the ad codes and disabled the top stats.

I've got to agree on the header, I would make it a bit smaller. I do like the houses setup at registration. Perhaps you could make the welcome box collapsible, that'll save you a lot of pixels (so your content is visible earlier). I would get rid of the default (status)icons. There are many available here on .org in the template area.

The color scheme is easy on the eyes, however I've always got a 'dark' idea when I think about HP. Lastly, I would suggest to use VBadvanced (it's free and offers a lot of integration), so your main site will blend in with the rest. Hope this helps you.

The status icons are modified. They originally said CNN, but the style author made a modification to them.
