Z - Last-Random X Threads in What's Going On
 

This was requested as an additional option on my mod Z - Custom What's Going On but instead of making it an option I decided to make it a whole different mod. This way people could have both if wanted to. I'm still a bit new at relesing mods since I mostly just did them for my own sites but my daughter is making me share more, she is really mean.

Z- Last/Random X Threads in What's Going On

• all options are in your Admin CP
• custom title
• custom amount of threads
• declining or random options
• exclude forum option
• no template editing needed

Installation:
Import z_lrxt_wgo.xml
Goto --> Admin CP --> Settings --> Options --> Z - Last-Random X Threads in What's Going On and make your settings.

Version:
1.2 - Changed icon (suggested), Updated css to look better with vb gold
1.1 - Added option to excluded forums (suggested kindly by kall)
1.0 - Initial Version

Remember to clicc install.

It would probably be a good idea to make your modification respect Permissions.

At the moment, all users will see all threads, including those they have no access to.

True but I don't know the coding to add permission to it.

Well, as a workaround, how about adding an Option for 'Forums to Exclude ($zexcluded)', and add something like this to the query:

Until you can figure out the permissions coding (maybe from looking at some other 'x threads' mods? ;) ), that will allow admins to determine which forums are definitely not shown.

Close to what I am waiting for. Looking for latest X Threads by category for the top.

I like the Idea, but extremely sorry to say NOT PROFESSIONAL !!

How do you mean it's not professional?

Could you possibly be trying to use it on a version other than what it was designed for (Beta 4)?

If so, who is the unprofessional one? This mod, or you for insulting it when it doesn't work properly on something it wasn't designed for?

Installed on 4 Gold and although it does work, the list of threads does not sit within the border of the Whats Going On area. I have uninstalled for now, if this can be fixed I will definitely install again. Also would it be possible to change the icon beside the header, it is currently a user icon, maybe a list / forum icon is more appropriate.

If you could pm a screenshot of it not fitting within the border so that I could see. I can update other things while I'm at it.

Could we get the title bolded, similar to the other sections.
