Title in the browser is not coming up while browsing the page. It only shows the default title set by Vbulletin. It should always be Privacy Policy - Your Forum Name instead of that it show up as "Your Forum Name"

Hopefully you get it what I mean.

this was only happening in 4.0.1, 4.0.2 is the fix
may not work on 4.0.0 Beta 4, fully tested on Beta 4

Ozidoggy 11-23-2009 12:14 PM

OK....will you be releasing an update for beta 4?

Your version numbering makes no sense. Previously, you released 4.0.2 amd 4.0.3, then 4.1.0, then 4.2.0...

... and now 4.0.0?

this was due to vbulletin being in beta, now vb4 gold is released my version numbering will be more consistent

djbaxter 12-22-2009 12:56 AM

For future reference, 4.0b1, 4.0b2, 4.0b3, etc., would have made more sense.

Don't understand. I don't know what the installation method is. Please post further info on how to install, thanks in advance!

KissOfDeath 12-24-2009 07:48 PM

Thanks, installed but i'm not sure exactly where it's put the privacy information?

MikeWarner 12-27-2009 09:26 AM

Please provide some instructions on how to install. Where do you upload files? Do permissions need to be changed?..... I can't get this working at all.

Alex@Mk3OC 12-27-2009 09:49 PM

You need to upload privacy_policy.php and the SpryAssets folder to your forum root then import the product-google_adsense_t4u2.xml in the Product Manager.

Then you need to set the privacy statement URl in vBulletin options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details

Then it's done

M3xital 12-28-2009 09:38 AM

Thanks Works great!

Simon,

I see that you still needed testers.

Tested and works as designed on the following:

IE8
Firefox 3.5.7
BlackBerry (Storm) Browser

I didn't see any flaws yet i will keep you posted.

Thank you for this.

Just installed this on a test board. It works, however, there are a few things.

For example, not everyone is English. I have no problems with translating everything, but after I did that, I found out that there's still information on the privacy policy you can't change from the admin CP, but which is still English.

It would be better if you can translate those too from the admin CP.

Also, I don't need all of the space you've given me, so the last few are blanc. But, the privacy_policy doesn't delete those, it still shows them.. like this:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

I would like it a whole lot better if I could choose what to show and what not to show...

Last but not least, there's no link in the footer or anywhere else to this page...

Otherwise, nice mod. Hope you'll fix these issues at some point..

as its by 30th birthday today i will work on this tomorrow
