LOGO ROTATOR
This small hack/scrpit will rotate logo in vb4.x (In fact I have been using this script since vb 3.6) I got this script from the Internet long time back so all the credit goes to the author of the script. Installation: 1) You need to upload the contents of the folder "upload" to the root directory of your site. 2) Then upload the logo's you want to rotate to "images/titleimage/" directory. (Delete example images from this folder else they will be used by rotation script) ---Images must be of all same size else the page jumps as the images gets taller or shorter. --- Images can be in jpg, gif and png format. 3) Edit the title image path in stylevars to "images/titleimage/logo.php". (See screenshot) Updates: 22 Dec 09: Working with vBulletin 4.0.0 (Gold) . |

Cant get my pics to show
I know i done i'm in the right area cause when i change the stylevar back to default the original pic appears I using Gif images and also the default 1.png wont show I get a x instead of a image When i right click/properties tells me that i i am in the correct place I uploaded all the upload file to root file and edited the stylevar ? |
You need to upload the "titleimage" folder to "images" folder then it will work.
Or you can uplaod it anywhere but make sure you use correct path in stylevars. |
Installed again. actually now this is standard on every one of my forums. this might be the only mod that i have installed on every single vB forum i own.. good stuff
|
I believe I followed the instructions as mentioned, I don't have a titleimage directory, the original vbulletin log is in misc. I tried there but could not make it work
|
You have to make a folder on your webserver to make this work.
|
Cheers Mate

Will the php code work in a Widget?
Thinking of rotating pics in a widget or forum side blocks, if possible? |
how do i link a banner image (logo) to the website that it represents
|
This is a great addon, however, could it be coded to run on the right hand side of the header or even the footer areas?
I already have a logo placed in titleimage but feel this banner addon would suit me if i could place it to the right of my header but under the my profile and settings part in VB4. Sadly, i'm no coder, so, any help greatly appreciated for this fantastic idea |
Apparently this program only rotates the logo it isnt a banner rotation program. Does anyone know where i can find a banner rotation program for VB 4

e.g. www.site.com/logo.php |
I have created a folder in images named titleimage, I placed 3 images in the folder, I added the logo.php and the index to public_html which is where my forum is located. won't work. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong cause apparently it works
|
Titleimage folder has to be in images folder.
And then you need edit the stylevars of titleimage to "images/titleimage/logo.php" . |
That's where it is and I made the edit change as well
|
The only way i can get the logos to move is by hitting F5 ?
Version 4.0.1 |
You have refresh the page or click on the logo.
This mod does not rotate the logo automatically. . |

http://www.randalstowncsc.net/ I have 5 banners and have did what was said in the 1st post . |
It is refreshing on page load for me. i just went to your site and seen no problems. although it doesn't change every time, It is working properly as far as i can tell. Tip the more pictures you load in your header the more likely the random image wont repeat 2 times in a row on refresh. Thats all thats happening on your board. it just repeat the same picture once in awhile. In other words its randomly choosing the same picture now and then. add more pics that will reduce the likelihood of a repeating picture twice in a row. I actually have over 30 pictures in my logo rotator.
------------------------- Edit i take that back you are correct it only changes on refresh and is static when browsing page to page. this is something the hack author Seven Skins will have to look into for you. |

Check for "Add No-Cache HTTP Headers" in the settings and you are using some HTML compressor, that might be casuing an issue.

This thing is nice! Working well.
I do have a question, there is a small gap between my image and the navbar. I don't think it has anything to do with this mod but if someone can tell me how to make the image flush to the navbar I would appreciate it. Thank you. |
