Well there is no need to report something, just because YOU don't understand it. Rude

Sorry that you feel that way.
I wasn't meaning to be rude, but the content from the description for the mod is very poor and it is not understandable what this mod is for.
Who knows what you would be importing into your vB with this xml.

Apologizes if I sound rude

I don't/didn't mean to sound rude, but I still have no idea what this mod is all about.

I guess English is not that easy for you either (no offense meant) maybe someone here can help this guy out so we understand what he is trying to do.

I just took a quick look at the code, it gives a No Permission message to anyone who tries to reply to a Closed thread. Moderators/Super Mods/Admins are able to reply to closed threads normally, so this will stop that by giving them a No Permission message if they try to reply to a closed thread.

It also looks like there is an option to allow some members to still reply (you can put in some userids of users you still want to be able to reply to closed threads).

Thank you very much lynne
Had the privilege of your presence dear :)
I ment moderator and administrator not members ..
I'm sorry for the mis unintentional

Actually it is a fine way to stop the, some times, abusive way some super mod's when reply to those treads you, as a administrator, just closed.

This should, in effect, be a basic part of VBulletin, in my opinion of course.

This one i do install....

ChopSuey 10-17-2009 12:02 AM

You guys could have simply just read the thread title.

VonDoom 10-17-2009 03:45 AM

You know this is actually a great mod, i sometimes need to create threads for picture contests in the Administrators private forum to build polls and my mods sometimes like to comment or ask what im doing why im doing it etc etc. and it really defeats the whole purpose. i will give this a shot. i can see it being useful in the fact that i wont have to clean up the coments where there not wanted or needed. ;) Wierd that i was just thinking earlier today how useful a mod like this would be. Thanks *Installed*

ETA: Working exactly as described, Im sure this mod will come in handy sooner then later.

New Joe 10-17-2009 04:03 AM

Thanks all for your comments, as i sad i didn't mean to sound rude but from the opening part of this mod it really didn't clearly say what it was all about.

Well moderators are reporting problems this morning. it seems they cannot post in any thread and displays a message that open threads are locked.

chick 10-17-2009 12:20 PM

Nice idea though I have not installed it. Prevent admin or mod from posting in closed threads... cool.

-=Leb=- 10-17-2009 12:38 PM

Good mod brother Installed and Nominated :)

But you can allow only some of them to reply to any thread colsed of writing numbers through their moderators in the field option "exception id Member .."

In the "Version 2.1" I will allow the moderators to reply to the threads closed under his administration in the same section

Thats the problem the threads are not locked that my staff are trying to post in. These are open and active threads. So what im saying is while the product is working its working a bit to well. ;)

BlessedFWI 10-20-2009 04:02 AM

Yes, same here as VonDoom. They aren't able to reply to the threads that are not closed as well. If it gets fixed, then I will definitely re-install.

Thanks!
