choccyclaire 09-13-2009 07:07 PM

This is a brilliant idea. :D Thanks.

Hornstar 09-13-2009 07:40 PM

So it will show all the messages they have posted on other users visitor messages.

Any chance to also have it work for username?

tafreeh 09-13-2009 10:03 PM

good mod, but is it possible if its show all the latest 10 users messages at one place, from all users?

I'm sure it could with just a little tweeking. I don't really need it that way, but may look into it if I do another revision.

The 10 latest VMs from every single user on one page? I'm sure it's possible, but it's not something I'll be adding. I think I'd kill my server if I did that!

RenatoMN 09-14-2009 04:39 AM

he (or she) wants a listing of the 10 latest visitor messages posted by anybody to anybody in the entire forum

e.g.:

RenatoMN to Lynne - Today
[message content]

RenatoMN to tafreeh - Today
[message content]

Lynne to RenatoMN - Yesterday
[message content]

tafreeh to Lynne - Yesterday
[message content]

...

That's default for mods/admins in the UserCP. I'm simply adding to this by allowing them to specify the userid of the person who posted the VM. You can still have it list all the VMs by just not entering a userid.

Leo Brazil 09-15-2009 11:24 AM

That's a great idea and should be default on vB. Today it's pretty painful to check Spammers on VM.

Thank upi Lynne

Hi Lynne, great idea - really should be stock. Tagged for future use.

yilmaz68 12-30-2009 08:51 PM

Hey Lynne, thank you.

ROCK ON.

Skydiver10 01-27-2010 10:05 PM

Thanks for your work...I have been looking for this!!!

Kadi 02-11-2010 11:40 AM

Hi,

A bit confused.

This will show all the visitor msgs this member has made on any page or all the visitor msgs made on this members page only?

Thanks.

Lynne 02-11-2010 08:08 PM

All the message a particular user wrote.

JesterP 04-09-2010 11:09 PM

Hello,

I needed something like this mod, thank you for making it. I have a small problem however.

I did the import, went to my usercp, then to new items, visitor messages and do not see an imput for a username other than the filter at the bottom that only lets me choose how long ago the messages were deleted.

Did something go sideways with my import?

Thank you

Lynne 04-10-2010 02:48 PM

Try this on a default style. If you have a modified style, you may have to modify the method used to insert the code into your style since it uses find/replace.

Hello Lynne,

I switched over to the default style, re-imported with overwrite yes. No joy. :(

Are there any options I need to turn on or enable?

Thank you!

I just imported it into my default 4.0.3 board and it works, so I'm not sure why it isn't working for you. Remember, it only works for viewing visitor messages in the usercp - /moderation.php?do=viewvms&type=new

I'm running 3.8.3. I went to /forums/moderation.php?do=viewvms&type=new - the same url that shows when I go to new items, vms. No go.

No problem, I won't spin my wheels with this any longer or take any more of your time.

Thank you for your quick replies.

Jester

Great modification, makes skimming VMs for spam so much easier.

Keesa 12-30-2010 02:36 PM

Thank you, I needed this today and as always, VOILA!

Huh? Please write a full sentence if you have a question.

Jay106n 01-21-2011 04:46 AM

Worked fine on one forum (3.8.4), nothing on the other (3.8.0). No biggie.
Cool mod. Thanks.

Lynne 01-28-2011 03:39 PM

I added an image. I also updated it to include the username option which I had included in the vB4 version.

yotsume 09-04-2015 05:22 PM

Could you make a vb3.7x version? Your version here I tried to install but doesn't show up in the admincp.

Lynne 09-04-2015 10:41 PM

I don't have a 3.7 test, so I won't be coding a 3.7 version. Sorry.
