This works on vBulletin 3.7.X - 3.8.4

This product will allow visitors to join your community using their Facebook, Google, Yahoo or AIM account; and will allow your existing members to associate an existing forum account with one of the services - such as Facebook.

Please read the documentation and follow it exactly before requesting installation help. Please note, if you have heavily modified styles that are missing hooks - this product will not work and require additional installation steps.

This is the code that you need to place into your template, where you currently have the facebook button displayed on the right. Please note that you have to adjust this html, because your template is CSS DIV based, and this is a table block - so it might not work.

Is openID supported too?

For anyone interested there was a good debate about the pros and cons of using Facebook Connect here (you need to be a licensed member to see it).

I have several profile fields that need to be filled out at the registration. What happens with those fields? :)

Ok, found a warning, when I log out, and login using fbconnect to match my normal login, on the login redirection page, I recieve:

When I click on the nexus.gif image, "google" is undefined, hence we don't get a pop-up. That's in IE only.

I've got my main vB account set up, and I've added a FB login to it. So next I wanted to add in the rest of my ID's so I try OpenID via Google; I recieve a database error:

if you have renamed the index.php page, it doesnt seem to take note

You will have to search-and-replace the PRODUCT.XML file for instances of index.php and replace it with the name of your index file.

I had to login twice when i used my aim name...
I signed in, then it asked for nickname..i added one....i selected OK...
then it said either login with that name or use existing...
i clicked login, and it didnt log me in, then i click on sign up with aim name again then i pressed grant and then clicked login again and then it made the account....
this is on your demo... any ideas?

I think this is normal for the aim login; it asks you to select a nickname, which it then passes to vbulletin, which we then pre-fill and again allow you to edit it before the final submit. The google friend connect api is not as friendly and clean as Facebook. We know its a bit confusing.

I just tried y our test site for google and once I get to the user name on your forums I click login and it's doing nothing. I tried twice and the login button isn't working for some reason.

Also the reset fields doesn't work on the left side either.

How would this prevent spammer/spambot with an email account to join?
I know with the regular reg, we can use captcha, question to prevent but this makes it easier?

Thanks for this new addon. I've just installed it on my testforum and it works with Facebook so far. I have yet to test the other logintypes.

WOW - have been wanting something like this for a LONG time! :D

I've just logged onto the demo (and posted) to try it out and I like it a lot :up: but before I install it and try it, is it possible to not show the debug spiel as I think it looks a little untidy to users signing on? (no offence meant :o)

Ive just installed this on my site. I can log in fine using my facebook account but i get this error message and no information is being published on my facebook profile. (due to error)

Invalid template bundle id specified: *********. You can see this because you are one of the developers of the app.

in regards to my post above. i have just uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and the same problem exists.

The problem is the Template Bundle ID option when editing through admincp. It states 'Don't change default ID' in:

Sign up Template Bundle ID
New Reply Template Bundle ID
New Thread Template Bundle ID
Album Template Bundle ID

Those boxes where blank when i entered vb nexus config section but after i clicked save they where automatically filled in with the relevant id.

What numbers should i put in there?

whats difference to the FB connect one? will it do same thing realy?

Do you get all the debug stuff underneath the pop up box when logging on? If so, do you know if you can disable this as an administrator?

no, i didn't get all the debug data. just having problems with the Template Bundle ID as described above.

Will this work ok with Milads fbconnect plugin installed? or will it clash at all??

You have not followed the instructions. It's really important to do steps 1-X when configuring the product.

1) You have to enter your GOOGLE SITE ID + FACEBOOK API+FACEBOOK SECRET KEY.
2) SAVE
3) Go back to vBNEXUS options, scroll down and find the "CLICK HERE" link on the bottom for feed manager.
4) Go there - and SAVE templates.
5) Go to vBNEXUS options again - and the template id's should have automatically appeared linking your feeds to your facebook application account.
6) Save and done.
