I was wondering if someone could right a hack for a roster. Kinda like a members list, but in catigories, and users can pick what games they play, and there rank in the clan/division. and also, one catigory for just the clan admins, that users cant select....if someone could please write this i would be very aperaciative

Well it's not a ladder exactly. It's just a roster of your fellow clanmates. With the particulars included for each member. :)

I've already done this...check my sig. I am also working on a newer version that includes a Bio page of each member as well.

Umm, i'm not really sure what you mean, but i do have a hack where users enter a password that the clan leader gives out, and they are admitted to a clan. It has clan lists and everything. There's a link in my sig. Go to the support thread to see screenshots. I'm not sure if it's what you mean.

I'm loking for a clan member page that clan members can have a bio and and pic of themselves etc. so thats it's not listed with the other forum members. Dark Wizard has made something like this but his is very limited and not to configurable to the different clan structures. I also was thinking about a clan join page where people can sign up for membership and a clan challenge and match page.

The other requests are different. challenge page, match page, clan join page etc.

Okay, well the bio and stuff shouldn't be a problem, but i don't know what this hack is based off of, so i don't know what to add and where to add it. Is there an exisiting clan hack on your site? If so, what is it? Otherwise, what exactly do you want me to make? User picks clan, user is put into clan, what?

There is a clan members page in the clan menu. If you click on the clan members name you'll go to a custom profile page that has a bio, pic etc.

If somebody sets up a clan hack, i'll set up the bio page and game selection screen. Or i could make the clan hack.

Does the user pick the clan, enter a password to be in the clan, or get put into the clan.

Note: I can do the application form and everything where it pms the clan leader and they either accept or decline the clan membership.

Well Dark Wizard has made a clan member hack but its very limited in its structure. It only shows who is in the clan and it links to the vBulletin member profile. A clan member profile is a little different.

I don't know if you can use it or not he said he was going to update it but he hasen't in a while now. Maybe if you ask him he'll let you improve on it.

I don't know what you mean by the user picking a clan? Do you mean joining a clan or linking to a clan by putting a link in their postbit?

Well, mine is actually a bit more fancy. I'm gonna release the full sometime this week, which has so many features, i'll just add this to the list.

You can pick to either install it where the user picks from a combobox, they request membership and have to accepted, or they enter password. You can have a Clan Leader CP, and i'll add this bio thing as well. Will the bio be in a seperate section from the list but be the list as well, or just be built in to the default list. This is gonna be great!

Hmm ok i'm not to sure what the password thing is about so if you could elaborate on it a bit more maybe I can figure it out.

Well the clan members would be listed with their status and joined date etc. on one page then click on their name or put a link to their individual bio's to another page. I think thats a good way to do it instead of trying to put everything on one page.

and don't worry about the password thing, that's an install option, you don't have to pick that.

There is an application out there called vwar which does all this and more - what i would like is someway of putting this app into vbulletin

That is what I am using now and I'm integrating it into vb both in users and templates.

Edited.... Looks like I will be looking for beta testers soon, but they must be experienced in php and mysql.

I did ask them for advice and they said

Read my post above ^^^. I am in the process of doing this now, I have completed about 70% of the user integration part and still need to do the templates. Right now it uses vbulletin's global and functions so it shouldn't be long now...

I was at the vwar site and that script looks amazing and it will be even more if you can fully integrate it will vbulletin.

I started the templates this morning and you can follow the progress here. Please bear in mind there are alot of templates to create so you won't be able to navigate too far. I will be looking for beta testers soon but you must have some background in PHP and MySQL as this is a VERY BIG hack....

the $templateversion and $copyrighttext aren't showing. Just thought I would point that out.

I think his point might be that when people refer to a "clan hack" Some are refering to Clan sites where a clan is a group of people playing the same games like Doom or Unreal Tournment or whatever. Other people are refering to a clan as a group of people in a messageboard RPG. FFD seems to be an example of the latter while your site is an example of the former.

This is coming along very nicely and incorporates a Server Stats script as well. All of the templates are done (218 of them!). I just need to finish the user integration, additions to the user table, accessgroups and install script. Should be done by end of weekend. You can view it here.

on the server stats, is it hard to modify the port and Ip for the server? because I have a few servers for Delta Force Landwarrior and Black Hawk Down and the server IP and ports are different from other games like Counter Strike and Unreal. Just wondering.

No not at all...what game engines do they use? Right now the only games that are supported are as follows:

as far as game engines i'm not sure but here is a link to the public server room as an example and you can take a look at the links to the servers and stuff. I'm not sure how to get the port and IP addresses or anything. Do you have a Delta Force Game?
