Read other people's PMs

Looking for a MOD that allows admins to do this.

HMBeaty 07-31-2009 08:57 PM

Did you search first? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=read

MTGDarkness 07-31-2009 09:21 PM

I did... didn't pull anything up.

Paul M 07-31-2009 10:31 PM

I cant imagine how you searched - simply looking for "read private message" lists the mod as the first item.

NJAquaman 07-31-2009 11:29 PM

This seems like a good one to use

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=209344

hope this helps

thanks!

I must say I don't agree with reading other peoples PMs

RedeemedWarrior 08-01-2009 10:31 AM

sometimes for members safety you have to

1Unreal 08-01-2009 10:44 AM

Yes because private messaging is notoriously dangerous.

New Joe 08-01-2009 11:47 AM

It is an abuse of any Forum, there are called 'Private Messages' with 'Private' being the main word.

R1lover 08-01-2009 01:37 PM

I don't think anyone asked for opinions of this mod, they just asked where to find it. If you don't agree with it, then don't use it. It's pretty simple.

goxy63 08-02-2009 07:02 PM

These kind of mods should be removed from vb.org

HMBeaty 08-02-2009 07:03 PM

Just as posted in the modification itself....

Please, lets not get into a discussion in this support thread about the suitability of this hack and invading privacy etc, (I have seen this happen in other threads, so, I am pre-empting people before it starts). If you have a moral objection to this hack, please don't comment on it, just don't install it, it is as simple as that. This hack is here for people who want to use it, I have no opinion about it one way or the other.
So stop these nonsense posts. If you don't agree with the modification, simply don't use it.

goxy63 08-03-2009 01:02 PM

Please remove this one more nonsense post after answering me this simple question:
(pm is just fine)

Where should be a good place here for starting a pool about this issue...I think that this forum and this software in this way supports and helps some kretens to read someones private msgs

One of reason why I even started my forum was this, they invaded our privacy , and please dont say its sometimes necessary to read members pm's

How would any of you feel that someone read your private mail, and even meybe use it for who knows what...plain and simple there is no excuse for that

I kindly thank you for answer

Marco van Herwaarden 08-03-2009 01:05 PM

And what do you want to do with the results of such a poll?

It is the choice of the admin to do this or not, no poll will change that.

R1lover 08-04-2009 01:11 AM

Mods can you please start enforcing the rules in this thread per the creators request... this has gone on long enough. (if you don't like it don't'install it and move on)

I believe if the federal government suspected you as a terrorist that they'd go reading your mail. ;)

Same goes for a hacker, if I have any suspicions then I have the right to check things out. :)

1Unreal 08-04-2009 05:15 PM

Thats just not going to happen
