No Rules Registration
 

This is a very simple modification which allows registration without users first accepting rules. This makes registration quicker and simpler.

I accept the forum rules and a link for forum rules besides....

When you click 'Register' you are taken straight to the form - http://www.bananalive.co.cc/register.php that's all there is to see really.

This is a bad idea.

If you require new registrations to read and accept the basic forum rules, you have some "legal" protection if they later object to those rules (even if they don't bother to actually read them, checking the box that says they have read them binds them to those rules).

Bypassing this may save new registrants a few seconds of their lives but may also open up a lot of headaches for you as the forum owner.

I would strongly advise against doing this.

I also coded something like this some months ago, but i'm not using it on the real forum.
It's only installed on my develope & demo forums because it saves some time, but as djbaxter said=> you don't have any legal protection

You can edit the registration template and add a checkbox and a link to a forum thread with the rules.

This mod works very well with the Advanced Forum Rules mod (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201312). If you don't except the forum rules you cant post. Good trade off in my book. :)

How to edit the registration template to add that check box, can you guide me please
