Colors For Usergroup In Forum Last Post
 

You like colored usergroups? Looking for mods which add it in different paces? Like to have last post author colored in forum display?

So came and get it!
This mod shows usergroups HTML markup in forum last post author :)

Simple and Easy! Just install last release of product :) (see number at the end of filename)
No template modifications :)
And... please click Mark as Installed - thanks :D

1.0.1 Fixed issue for phrases (you don't need to update - it is for new installations only)

Known Issues:
- When you change usergroup for user who made last post, or change usergroup markup, then it is not updated in view till new post arrives in forum. It means, that in case of such changes style visible in last post will be the old one. It is because it is cached, but only till new post arrives (then will be cached new value). I have it in TODO list, but because of performance issues probably I will leave it this way. Even when somebody notice it, it will disappear fast (assuming that people are writing on your forum :p)

Please send confirmation for other versions - it will help future users and motivate me to give you more great plugins :D

NOTE for vB 3.7.x: (Not concern 3.7.6) Some people note troubles with uninstalling this mod on vB 3.7.x If you install, it is not possible right now to uninstall. Still works fine and in case you want to get rid of it you can just disable - so from my point of view - feel free to install it.

This product is not compatible with version 3.7.3 of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 3.8.2 / Incompatible with 3.9.99 and greater)

Also as i can see this is only for last poster.

Can you do it aslo for all mod. ( for example , users that gives thanks , or the Groans )

Open product file and change minversion="3.8.2" to your version. I don't guarante it will be working, but I think that it will, also you can always uninstall if not.

Please let me know does it works on such low version - it will help to other, future users :)

I did that and worked Perfect , but only for the last post users.
Opened the XML file with wordpad made the change and saved it and uploaded it.

What about the users saying Thanks or receveing Groans.

Can you do something for that.

It colors everything without last post - that’s why I created this mod, which colors only last post :D Just use booth :)

Have only problem with this hack on Vba CMPS page on new module when avatar is enabled ... (it show image code of avatar - should be picture instaed.

Don't understand CMPS :) Please describe it more :)
This mod should affect only last post author - I see no possibility to affect anything else (but of course it can be) - are you sure that this mod causes it? Could you disable my mod for moment and check does the issue still exists?

CMPS - means vba portal - and there is news module which takes last posts (news) from forum ....

vba portal?... Can you tell me step by step how can I see this behaviour on my forum? Where to go, what to click?... I will gladly work on this, but have no idea what's vba portal... :o

I have no such version installed. If someone will give me access to this version (can be clear new installation witch test forums), then I can see what is going on :)

For every one interested - resolved. It is hassan's mod fault (the one which colors everything without forum last post) - so till now this mod works fine :D

Remember - this mod colors only FORUM last post so any other places are not affected by it :)

Also I found solution for you - if you use hassan's mod an cmps:
for all styles find edit template adv_portal_newsbits:

change:
to:

Theirs only suppose to be one crown yet two appear.

Problem uninstalling:

"Could not find product with productid = ."

Have no idea :) My mod has set productid to colgroupforforum - you can find it in product file. So ask vb stuff what is going on :) Meantime - just disable :)

This mod don't change html markup in any way - just include it - so maybe you have something wrong with your html markup style?...
