Caddyman 06-25-2009 10:33 PM

That is a shame man, he may have been weird toward the end, but in his prime he was an outstanding performer, and an icon.

RIP Thriller.

The "King of Pop", Michael Jackson, has died, aged 50.

Found in his bel air rented mansion unconcious and not breathing, he was rushed to hospital, where, to the sadness of people worldwide, he never regained conciousness.

He started out as a boy, in the Jackson 5, and lead 90% of his life in stardom, even with all the controversy, he is the biggest selling artist in the last 3 decades.

He was set to do 50 concerts in london later this year, concerts which he will sadly never be able to make.

RIP

My favourite song: YouTube - Michael Jackson - Earth Song

UKBusinessLive 06-26-2009 05:29 AM

So sad, i Remembered Michael from my childhood and he was a great performer, didn't rate him much oer the last 10 -12 years but nevertheless a sad end to what was the worlds greatest pop star

RIP

Never really cared for jacko, never liked him after the dangling baby off the balcony incident. As freddie mercury said, another one bites the dust.

iogames 06-26-2009 01:17 PM

like a person? 20 years ago I should had told him: drop the act...

p.s. Thanks for changing the title of the thread to something more respectful, few ppl try to diminish others accomplishments, I just hope they can crush google when they die :D

Personally I would Like to see the concerts go ahead.

I know the star of the show won't be there, but it could be like a tribute, The life of a Great Performer. They could have all the Music, Dancers, Impersonators, and a great celebration of his life, even his family could make an appearance.

Theres a lot of people that have put their soul into getting the concerts ready for the 8th July, The dancers, The stage hands, The singers, everyone involved with it.

Go ahead do the show, and let the money go to his 3 kids

What a brilliant way to finish, for what was one of the Greatest Entertainers the world's ever known.

This You Tube Clip, just abouts sums it up and the reasons the "Show Must Go On"!!

Looks like he did ...

Quote:

A close member of Michael Jackson's family has told us Jackson received a daily injection of a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine -- Demerol -- and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.

Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.
Apparently The Doctor that gave him the Injection has done a runner  Police are searching for him

Quote:

We've learned law enforcement is looking for a doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home -- and the doctor is nowhere to be found.

Law enforcement sources tell us a BMW belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home last night.

Cops are looking to interview the doc.

A law enforcement source says the doctor gave Jackson an injection before he died.

Jackson reportedly may have OD'd on Demerol. As we first reported, family members were concerned that Jackson was taking too much morphine.
Thanks for that Site Marco, very interesting :)

Paul M 06-26-2009 03:42 PM

TMZ is the site that first reported MJ as dead.

mikey1991 06-26-2009 03:58 PM

Thanks whoever renamed the thread. More respectful this way than "Wacko Jacko is dead"

I was really sorry to hear about the news this entire week. The Loss of Ed McMahon at 86, Farrah Fawcett at 60 and Michael Jackson. They have all contributed to the industry in wonderfully talented and gifted ways. Farrah and Michael died much to young.

UKBusinessLive 06-26-2009 05:38 PM

Not sure if you guys knew but TNZ has just released a copy of the 911 tape

Quote:

TMZ has just received a tape of the Michael Jackson 911 call made yesterday at 12:21 PM from Michael's house in Holmby Hills, Ca.

The person who makes the call says Jackson was not breathing and unconscious. Jackson was not responding to CPR. The caller says the doctor on scene -- Dr. Conrad Murray -- was the only witness -- "The doctor has been the only one here."

RIP Mike. King of Pop!

TheLastSuperman 06-26-2009 06:34 PM

Like someone else said, I was not too thrilled about his last years i.e. magical times in neverland lol and the baby over the balcony stunt but before his ideals and skin color changed he was very talented, one of the best dancers the world will ever see.

Michael Jackson set to be embalmed at the O2 Centre after missing the deadline for cryogenic freezing

Michael Jackson will live on as a 'plastinated' creature preserved by German doctor Gunther von Hagens.

Von Hagens has caused controversy with everyone from the Pope to the chief rabbi in Israel with his practice of embalming corpses with preserving polyurethane.

Yesterday, he declared:
Quote:

'An agreement is in place to plastinate the King
Von Hagens said that he spoke with representatives of the Jackson family 'many months ago' and it was agreed that his body will be plastinated and placed next to Bubbles, his late pet monkey who was plastinated a number of years ago and is exhibited at The Body Worlds & Mirror Of Time exhibition at the O2 Centre in London.
Von Hagens also confirmed it was one of Michael's final requests to be reunited with Bubbles.

'There is no better place than to do this at the venue where Jackson was due to perform his world record 50-date tour,' said a spokesman for Von Hagens.

He added: 'Von Hagens has hinted that a moonwalk pose would naturally be favoured. 'It is hoped the exhibit will be unveiled towards the end of July.'

It was widely believed that the singer, who died yesterday from a heart attack, was interested in having his body frozen in the hope he could later be brought back to life.
However, it is now too late for his wish to be granted as the freezing process - cryonics - must be initiated almost immediately after death but an autopsy on Jackson's body still needs to be carried out.

His personal life was a mess, even though I never bought the molestation accusations. Too much opportunism involved on everyone's part. But no matter what you end up talking about, you always end on the fact that he was a great entertainer. No one put on a show, or made a video like him. His fame was his curse more than a blessing. I'm not ashamed to admit, I'll miss him. His songs comprised almost half of the stuff on my MP3 player. I'm chagrined that another of my childhood icons is gone, as I was very much into Micheal, Luther, Barry, Ray. Gone Too Soon, indeed.

Pity I'm too fat to do the moonwalk with any credibility anymore. But back in the day, I remember when everyone had the red jacket. Crap, I just remembered my brother even had the Jheri Curl.

I did an avatar set on my site, since I'm not good with tributes. Only thing I could think to do: http://www.cogonline.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53244

Heres the latest

Jackson Family Doesn't Trust Michael's Doc

Michael Jackson's family has its suspicions about Dr. Conrad Murray and what went down on the day Jackson died.

A source close to the family feel Dr. Murray should not be cleared of any wrongdoing just yet. The family requested a second autopsy to find out what the last drug Jackson took was. We're told the family feels once those results are known, a criminal investigation will take place.

We're also told the family is questioning Dr. Murray's abilities as a doctor. In the 911 call, the caller says Dr. Murray was performing CPR on Jackson on a bed; CPR is routinely performed on a hard surface.

"If you're a doctor, how can you not know how to do CPR?"

Makes you wonder???

06-30-2009 02:10 PM

I'm not a big fan of Michael Jackson himself but a couple of his songs were pretty good. Him being dead doesn't affect me in the slightest bit.

UKBusinessLive 06-30-2009 02:40 PM

Theres Rumours now that the his children may not be his, Michael has always stated that his skin condition is due to an illness thats why he went white, but his children born to a white mother would be half cast, and not white european.

Michaels mother is now saying she wants custody of the kids, But his ex wife Debbie Rowe, is now saying that Michael wasn't even the father

Kinda makes you wonder :erm:

Burnt 06-30-2009 06:58 PM

Granted they'd probably do DNA testing to make sure they were his kids but if they didn't she'd be one dumb +++++ to say they weren't his.. He's still got money somewhere and will continue to make more since he's dead so it'd be going to the children. Oh well..

Reycer 06-30-2009 11:20 PM

This is really getting old. Yes, the man (or whatever you want to call it) sang some good songs, but all in all, the man(?) was a pervert. Plain and simple.

bleros 07-01-2009 12:02 AM

condolences to the family of Michael
