It is found by Silveryhat in the late 2008 and early 2009. The original version was first use way back in the '06 or '07 with limited functions and no ajax support. A serious upgrade and rebuilding have been made few weeks ago for this release. Main goal was to make it faster and compatible with all vBulletin forums. I see there is an option for the users to upload music, can it be set to moderated so whatever they upload does not appear until approved?

2 - I make a category in AdminCP. When I post a song I see no category appears in the list OMG!! Category Level 1 is considered as Parent Category therefore it cannot be used. Create a sub-category under it and you are set. Currently it only supports 2 Levels of Category. 3 - Hey how I post youtube video clip? Imagine how a mess it would become if one member adds "Lady Gaga" , then another adds "ladyGaga" and his friend who also plays the forum does "Gaga lady", but a random member does not like those names and wants to do "Gaga my luv" for himself while a noob dont know wat and dont know how where he accidentally creates "Lazy haha" into the list.. The same reason applies for Album records therefore only Admin can create the artist and album. It might be a hard work but you want your musicbox looks good with working portraits and correct information. 5 - silveryhat I cannot edit any song I post, a no permission page appears, are they gonna be perpetual that way now :( ? FYI most 3.8 users will not check the 3.7 thread... either one they are just members and not sure if mods will work w/ 3.8 if listed in the 3.7 thread despite your title and initial statement they might not even look in the sub-forum etc so best bet is to post this in the 3.8 forum as well, you'll get more feedback and installs plus possibly more responses to help you out if they find a bug here or there. I installed this mod and played around with it now for a few hours. What instructions were included were good. However, there seems to be ALOT of instruction missing. Don't get me wrong I realize the mod is still in it's beta stage.
I have several questions that I will ask later, but I would like to know now why the mod does not recognize me as an admin when logged into it on my board? There is nowhere for me to administrate the mod outside of the admincp. How do you delete uploads that you may want removed? |

The reason the song does not show up is because it belongs to a parent category. Refer to F.A.Q question 2 to change it. Next update I'd include a clearer message for administrator to edit it. I seem to have a problem getting a/the Player to show up anywhere when a song is clicked on to listen to. The song plays fine there is just no Player to control the song. Any idea what is wrong?

My firefox version is 3.0.11 which is current. I tried redownloading it and nothing changed. I reloaded the firefox default style/skin and there was no change, and still no player.
I took a screen shot of what it looks like when I'm viewing your mod from my end. If you compare my image attachment to yours, you will notice there is some differences. My image looks more squeezed compared to yours. Look at the "Not Working?, Who like it?, and Option section on both images. I hope this can get straightened out. If this mod requires my members to add extensions or plug-ins to their browsers I will of coarse have to not use the mod. |

Ok I'm now able to view it after installing the firefox 3.5 beta version. I also found this bit of info that could be used as a reference.
"WMP plugin is hard-coded to only play the proprietary Microsoft formats (.asf, .asx, .wm, .wma, .wax, .wmv, and .wvx), and Windows Media Player provides no provision for changing this. For the most common formats found on the web (like mp3, midi, mpg, wav, etc.) you will need to install and configure Quicktime or Quicktime Alternative." |
