Any Cubecart Experts here??
Its the first time i've dabbled with this and i need to know a bit about the setup.
As i'm in the UK, I've changed the currancy etc to GBP added my Paypal account but when the sales go through it comes up on the paypal page in USD ?? Basically instead of the paypal payment page showing ?60.00 it Shows $60 :( I know its a long shot but are there any Cubecart experts here?? |
We had cubecart for a while, but was very unreliable.

Thanks for that mate, but i've done all that i just have GBP, np other I get an email in GBP everythings OK apart from when the shopper goes to pay via paypal, it ends up in USD  Such a nightmare  |
Sounds like your country settings are incorrect.
From memory the default is florida tax etc. Delete that, and add GBP with its conversion ratio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkdNc2hP5B0 |
I f you weren't ADVISOR and got friends on the top, I will answer you: 'Go to Cubecart forums' but hey! I'm not Nxls! so how can I help you?

To be honest The cubecart forums are crap, There is little or no support elsewhere so as steve said its not reliable at all, I've looked at a UK base E-commerce package call Bosscart, I'll let you know how i got on |

I really want to know if Magento is better than oSCommerce... |
Demo of Magento: http://demo.magentocommerce.com/
Looks slick, but got me concerned when asked, Are you prepared to spend a minimum of $10,000 per year for an annual subscription to the Magento Enterprise edition? * |
you can't defeat GPL... watch Linux OS :D:D:D

There are some great packages nowdays out there, but along of them take a percentage of your sales and charge a fee each month  Despite only having a few items to sell i've decided to opt out of a full scale e commerce store and just do some extra html pages with paypal buttons. the cheap option but with sales averaging ?300 to ?400, its pointless spending ?30-?40 everytime i get a sale, perhaps when the company makes enough money, that i don't need to worry about anything then i'll be able to go full steam ahead, in the meantime its html for me :D i'll keep my eyes still open if anyone knows of a decent free, not too complicated e-store ;) :) |
Oh well i decided to bite the bullet and have a bash installing OS Commerce, and i'm impressed so far
I thought all went well until i tried to add UK VAT to the final total  I just can't do it :( This is what i have at the moment https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/06/46.png (Excuse the deleted parts as its keeping with the forum Rules of self promotion) This is what i have in my os comerce admin panel Zones Tax zone = UK Code = BG Tax Zone UK Tax Classes Taxable Goods Tax Rates Priority =1 Tax Class = Taxable goods Zone = UK Tax Rate = 15% Is there any OS commerce Buffs here ?? Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?? I've added to the Os Commerce Support forum, but no reply as yet :( Thanks in advance  **********EDIT************** Just got it working :D It was a matter of just making sure the tax zones and stuff where in the right place, Bit of a nightmare if you've never used it before |
