New Thread Redirect
--------------------------------------
Created By: Null Parameter

This mod is tested with 3.8.1, but may work with other versions.

Please leave any comments, suggestions or bugs.

Description
This is a very simple mod that I developed to go along with my custom forms I use for submitting threads.

Instead of going through the templates in each style and editing in custom URLs for each forum for where the thread form is, I decided to write a redirect to occur when a user tries to create a new thread in a particular set of forums.

The mod takes a list of Forum IDs and a URL, and any time that a user tries to create a new thread in one of those forums, they are instead redirected to the URL.

See screenshot below for ACP options.

Demo
There is no demo readily available, because it requires a registration and I don't have a demo board.

Limitations
The only limitation on this is that it only takes one list of forums and one redirect URL. So, if you want to have different forums redirect to different forms, you'll need to edit the install file and install it multiple times.

Fixes
None.

It seems good, but why not use the good old Edit New Thread Button?

Because
  1. It's only supported in vB 3.5, and some people have had problems with later versions.
  2. I couldn't find a hack that did this, so I made one. ;)

Some people don't use the standard New Thread form, but rather use a Custom Form instead, so they can supply extra fields for the thread. In this case you can forward them to the form instead of the regular New Thread page.

thank you for this... it is very useful when you have wordpress / vbulletin integrated.

When you add a service rss and move threads to the forum is not a job for her miniature

What do you edit, so you can redirect different forum sections to different forms?

I can only do one right now.

I read the description, but it doesn't state what edits to make, which is why I am asking which edits do I make, I have edited every portion of the code, so thats its different from the first install and I still have problems.
