iPod-Hacking.com's mobile skin V1.0.0

This is my first release of the skin that I have developing for my forum.

Live Board

The instillation for this board is a bit more elaborate due to the custom status icons.

Installation:
1) Upload the file in the folder names "put in root of fourm" to your forums root directory.
2) Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Download / Upload Styles -> Upload iPod-Hacking.com V1.0.0.xml
3) Configure the status icons*
4) Done!

* the status icons are located in the put "in root of fourm/iPhone/statusicon" directory. All status icons are assigned by forum id.

Example
You have a forum named announcements. The forum ID to it is 12. You would Name the picture that you would like to assign to that forum 12.png

In order the find forum id look in the URL bar when inside that forum.
Notice how it end is f=104
The forum id to that forum is 104.
So in order to put a status icon next to it i would need to have a picture named 104.png in the statusicon folder

In the extras folder their are PSDs that can be used to create the status icons.
Status icons are in a 50X50 format.
The best way to achive that size is to open the rendericon.psd
Click on one of the boaders.
Resize the icon so that it fits in the boarder.
Click back on the boarder and go to Select>load section> load the boarder.
Click back on the icon and press the delete key.

That will delete any extra color around the icons making perfectly rendered icons. For best results its better to cut a little off the icons then make them to small.

I love it, simplistic.

well, themes is look sassy...
but my question is... does it bring up all the mods installed from other theme.. like chat box ... pic forum home and whatever mod is using temp hook... if yes.. then i wont be installing it.... or may be i will still do but later coz i m gonna have to remove everything then... in my ipod i just need forum and threads.... no chat box no admin cp .....
btw how does ur usercp looks like ?

THB I didn't even think about that. I will go threw and remove the hooks for my 1.1.0 release.


As for the chatbox.
Quick Fix:
Install the theme go in to the cyb templates (assuming your using the cyb chatbox) open the template called Cyb_Chatbox Delete everything out of it.

your style says Version: 3.8.2

but when you import it shows as Version: 3.7.2

and in admin cp it states There are currently 28 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this!

oops thanks for pointing that out thats actually a mistake i made. I have 2 boards 1 that is my full board that runs 3.8.2 and my test board that runs 3.7.2 i designed it on my 3.8 board but i wanted to check to see if everything exported right so I uploaded it to my 3.7 board and then noticed that their was one bug that i made. So I fixed it on my 3.7 and exported it. I didn't even think it would screw up the version. I can assure you it is 100% fully functional on 3.8

Do you know how to stop vbAdvanced to show up using this style?

i have this skin on 2 forums one i can post to threads etc

the other forum just wont open the post reply just flashes and dont do anything

any ideas

What version vbulletin are you running on each board?

Open the template called adv_portal (Note i'm using vBadvanced CMPS. idk if the template name is different on other versions of VB advanced.)

So your saying there is an issue on boards without quick reply enabled. Ill take a look at it.

How can I remove Cyb-Advanced Statistics from this template?

It never even showed up on mine however im sure if you null out the template cyb_topstats_php it will go away
If not just null out all the cyb_topstats

null=delete everything in them

You can do that the forum will automatically detect if you go into from ipod?

Or, can I create a subdomain which if you into it, you go to this template?

I checked your forum using my IPhone and i found it great.

I have few question's:

1- Is it work on vb 3.7.2?

2- I have arabic forum, it's RtL (right to left), so can i use your style?

3- Is it support vbtube hack?

4- If i want to remove any hack to show on this style, all i have to do is null all the hack templates, right?

2) idk how that works. I've never tested it on anything but English
3)the template would probably screwed up and iPhones only play videos in .mp4 format most likely vb tube streems .flv so no. That's a iPhone limitation not the skin

Open post bit or postbit legacy what ever layout your using and move the thanks variable next to every thing else like reply quote ect ect

I'm using your style and it's looks good on my forum but there is few problems and i hope you can help me to fix it ; ;

1- All text align to left, how can i change it to right?

2- I want Forum Names align in middle, how can i do that? (it's align now to left)

3- All thread and posts looks different than your site, i mean the background for posts, all of them are white, and on your site it's shown blue and orange.

4- Most of tables align to left, how can i fix it to align middle?

If you can help me to fix it i'll be more than happy, and i really wanna use your style on my site ; ;

Go to the style manager edit the main CSS

Find stuff that says something like align: left

and change it to right That will change everything to the left

Then go threw and find anything that looks like its table related (table tags) and change that align to center

3: You need to upload the images make sure you uploaded the iPhone folder strait in to the root of your forum.

Uploaded the whole folder you want just the iPhone folder
Arn't viewing on an ipod. You must be using safari to load Web-Kit CSS no other browser supports it.
Put the iPhone folder in the wrong directory. if your fourms are in the /forums directory you must drop the iphone in the /forums directory; Not the / directory or the /fourms/styles/ect ect directory

I did that, i uploaded the iPhone folder to my forum dir /vb/iPhone but nothing changed.

I'm gonna work on the main CSS now.

but all thread titles are bold.
so can i change the thread titles to normal if i read the thread?

Which entry in the Main CSS would reduce the thread titles. Most of them on my forum are a little bit too big so merge with the one above and below. I've tried most of the font sizes in the CSS but can't find the right one.

The one in the top title bar or the list of them in view forum.

If there is anyway for you to make it so that threads with new posts are distinguishable from other threads, that would rock.

Edit: On the main forum display, the forum home if you will. Currently, there is no way to tell if there is new threads/posts unless you navigate into that specific category.
