Spam List: (Spamlists only) Block 261333 Registration Email Domains
 

The lists were compiled by combining a personal list with various online sources, none of which disallows use in a mod such as this. Therefore, brought to you is this spam list mod. You can add or remove entries from the spam list files. If you add an entry, make sure to add it as a lowercase entry.

The plugin takes care of the rest. The various spam list files range is size from about 4.0kb to around 0.4mb so be sure that you have enough memory available before installing this mod. The mod calls in the exemption list and one spam list file,
and unsets them as soon as possible to free memory. If an email address domain is on the exemption list, it is not blocked.

Should a user be blocked from registering at your forum, an email will be sent to your vB webmasteremail address and the user will see the vB banemail phrase message, so no screenshot of this mod is necessary. Everything is in alphabetical order so if you do not like the spam list files, just make your own set of files. Enjoy!

I use this mod for years and it's working great.

i will try it - but the mod is for "Version: 3.6.4" ?! is there no problem with the new code of vb 3.8.x

is there a possibility to modify anyhing or is just importing of the product und uploading of the spamlist in the includes everything that it works ?!

But surely all they need to do to get around this is to use a free email provider like gmail? All the spammers I get never ever use their website domain as their email anway o.O

Thanks so much for this, I can now block a lot of these stupid spammers, and yes gmail gets in but, combine this with other techniques like moderating posts imageverification or question verification, and others now I have a fighting chance.

also provides a log to check who has tried to register , also shows ip address

Any chance that the username, password and ip address the spambots were registering with can be included in the email?

Why is att.net on the list (they provide internet access / dsl) ??

please remember, this is a collection of domains that are provided which people have reported as spammers

its upto you if you wish to remove this from the the txt file


since i have added over 300 new domains i have recieved no spammers

please be patient whilt our team get our site up and running
we ran in to serious problems last sunday. but i will still update this spamlist

Updated: Our team are working hard this week to get us up and running, due to hackers we have been down for 3 weeks
hopefully by saturday we will be up and running, and will will release the next version of files

Nice idea BUT! you have also legit mailers in it, like Googlemail.
Only because some use this for botting, this does not mean that this is a spammer-mailer.
I personally use gmail ONLY. Best webbased mailsystem, perfect anti-spam.

Too bad that there are quite a few in it, that are normal, due to the mass can't fish them out and so gonna miss this thingy :(

i ve installed this mod and tryed to add @mail.ru at the list than tryed to register with a email like that and it worked ... :( any ideas? its not on the exception list
