Mp3player block for CMPS

Hello!

This is simple mod to add mp3-player block to your CMPS portal page or your forum.

1. you must download from http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/ your non-commercial license and without virtal plugin.

2. make one directory (mediaplayer) on your server root and upload downloaded files (unpack before) - yourdomain.com/mediaplayer

3. make one subdirectory (mp3) in your mediaplayer directory - yourdomain.com/mediaplayer/mp3 - there you can upload your songs.

4. with notepad make your playlist.xml file and upload in mediaplayer directory

6. Now you can go to your Admin cp - VBa CMPS - add new module -

a. module title - mp3-player (or what you want)
b. template to include - adv_portal_player (just write player)
c. If you are adding a new template to use with this module, please specify the style you would like to add this template to here.
d. Templete content - add this

just change in code above "yourdomain.com" to your site. (two places) and change color code if you want some another color!

e. use wrap module - yes
f. edit your usergroups permissions
g. SAVE

After just select position of your new module (recommend central position) and save.

Very nice Macc! Some members have been asking me if my MP3 player I released a while back could do a playlist... nope but I'm about to post yours for them to check out ;)

No problem ... i maked new one - but for guests is disabled ... and this player is with another kind of playlist and works when you are on another pages of forum... (like pop-up window).

I cant seem to figure out where the drop down menu comes from. I can only toggle through my tracks with the button. I cannot see the song title or select any of them from the list.

post your code here - maybe can help you more! check your playlist file name and sure that you have one on your server!

1. change this

and you will get your playlist and songs name

That got it! Thanks a ton. Great modification. Everything is working great now.

Do you know how to make the playlist to where one song plays after another without having to click play?

I have this player now up and running on my main page, but is there any way to make a button within the module that would open a seperate mini window for the player? Some people want to be able to listen to music at the same time they browse the site rather than have to open multiple windows.

Thanks for this mate. Works great. Also the autostart part works, but is there a way to have all the songs play automatically? (The autostart only works for the first song)
It would be great if all my songs will play, one after the other.
