Address bar icon
 

How do you change the address bar icon in 3.8
I know how to make a favicon.ico
i need to know where it goes , so it will work, i looked in the root folder , forum, is this the place ?

It goes in the root folder

thats where i put it and it doesnt show up.
its named favicon.ico.

i see it in the forum folder , it s a white sheet labeled favicon.ico anfd the file type is icon

im using firefox , if that makes a difference, i wouldnt think, i never seen the vbulletin one either when installed , but i know it was in the folder. It just a star that shows up

i tried to upload the vbulletin icon and it wouldnt show up either

Try clearing your cache and restarting your browser.

There really is no need for added code.... pace it in the root folder and your done.

I have had problems with mine showing before and once I added the code it worked for me. I have only used this when Ive had problems displaying it.

I have put our organizations favicon.ico in the web root and it still displays the vBulletin favicon even though I have removed it from the site. There must be conditional code somewhere that really wants the winged V.

I will try the code trick to see if that takes care of it.

That did not work either. My site is http://mb.nawcc.org. The favicon file is the one that is also used here http://nawcc.org

If anyone knows what is going on I would love to hear it.
