Make sure the image paths point correctly to the flash.

Getting an error it appears. Not sure. All the other images, even the ones I needed for mods show correctly. Where should I look?
It is also pushed considerably wider.

Code:

SWFObject is not defined
(?)()www.grum...oldmen.us (line 83)
[Break on this error] var so = new SWFObject("images/USFTEC..."header", "258", "164", "7", "#424951");

Sean James 03-13-2009 05:15 AM

The problem u may have is with the swfobject.js located in the images/USFTECH/misc directory.

Try copying that file to your vbulletin root as well.

WEBDosser 03-13-2009 05:26 AM

cool skin ..

Ok, after further investigation.... The problem is the way the url is set up because the Vb installation is in the /forum directory and Vb Advanced Index is in /.

Code:

http://www.grumpyoldmen.us/images/Darkness2/misc/house.gif
Notice that is goes right to /images instead of /forum/images.

I have to dig and see if I can figure this out. It is a path issue so in what location would I find it in the theme to add the/forum prefix?

I GOT IT! Had to edit the paths in the styles control panel... http://www.grumpyoldmen.us/forum/ima...s/banghead.gif

Sean James 03-13-2009 10:35 PM

Glad u got it sorted ;)

Ok, so how can I add a link to the navbar that shows.

Sean James 03-15-2009 02:13 AM

modify the navbar template to manually add links

THE__DRIFTER 03-15-2009 08:35 PM

Ok, don't know why VB is so picky about the location but anyhow, got that fixed. Thanks. Last and final concern. At 1024x768 the forum / homepage are too wide. It really doesn't affect me as I use a higher resolution but some of our members do. This happens both in this theme and Darkness 2. Is this a percentage setting somewhere?

Sean James 03-22-2009 06:46 AM

Strange i can drop both styles to 800x600 and still not have scroll bars :/

Do u have a banner or long image on your forumhome?

Does this also happen to so they forumdisplay or postbit pages?

MultiSync77F 03-23-2009 10:17 PM

I like it, but before I install it, does it come with support for Blog and Project Tools? I downloaded it but didn't see the images included.

Sean James 03-24-2009 06:07 PM

Works with blogs http://www.bluepearl-design.com/forums/blogs/

Havent tested it with Project tools as i dont have this addition

TommyC 05-14-2009 05:14 PM

Seems to be problems displaying this theme in Internet Explorer. Biggest one so far is that it doesn't display the tabs in user profiles.

ZekeC 05-26-2009 03:00 PM

Installed, and marked as such. Thanks so much for this great skin.

Using vBulletin 3.8.2. I have a problem that only occurs with this skin (but not with any of my others), I spent a couple hours trying to figure it out, and haven't come up with anything, so I wanted to post here to see if you could help, or if others were experiencing the same issue...

When you use Quick Reply to reply to a Private Message, the persons quote is sent, but whatever reponse you sent to them is completely missing, both in their inbox, and in your sent items. Works fine when you use advanced though, and QR also works fine if you send a message that doesn't contain a

Thankyou very much!

TommyC 09-18-2009 03:53 PM

Thank you! Found 2 things that need fixing though.

1) In Internet Explorer the theme throws an error about an swfobject. I removed all references to it and it loads fine now.
2) The "contact us" link in the footer is still broken.

I've been noticing the same thing, the quick reply works 100% flawlessly on the default vB skin (process of elimination) but when switching to this theme the quick reply fails in the way mentioned above.

Any idea on what might be causing it?

You need to change the private message (pm_newpm) template to fix this.
Just completely replace that template with the one that I have attached to this message. That should solve your problem :)

pythonimp 12-17-2009 06:06 PM

Hey Griffin, I'm curious how to add the Sidebar back into this template!

Thanks for your help in advance!

That did not work at all.

How do I fix the quick reply in PM's? It's causing an issue.

Go to the admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> USFTECH; Edit Templates -> Private Message Templates -> pm_newpm

Then replace it with the attachment in my previous post.
The quick PM glitch was fixed on my forum after I did this.

pythonimp 12-20-2009 09:14 PM

Nope, still did not work.

Hmm..

What about pm_quickreply template? Could it be something to do with that?
