Blue Web 2.0 Style

1 Attachment(s)
This is a simple blue web 2.0-esq style for vBulletin forums. Just upload the zip file to your /images directory and then import the XML style file.

To get started:Please leave the template credit intact if you use this style.

This button set works really well with the style:

The XML file is in the root of the zip file, just upload it within the admincp from your PC :)

Ian,

Before I install, will you be supporting this style with any updates?

Ive just installed and added my own header image, the only problem is that I have two line either side.

Ive added an image to show the problem. Do you know of anyway I can resolve this?

Regards

Dave

One more question, Is it possible to alter around the homepage so it shows Threads/ Posts and Last Post in that order?

I think that's because the header image isn't using the gradient background, if you copy the gradient background image file from the images folder and use that as the backdrop of your logo it should work :)

Is there any psd for the header logo?

Thanks for your reply Ian.

Sorry for sound really stupid, but im a bit confused!

Do you mean place my header image on top of the gradient background? If so, Is that an easy thing to do as I had my header image custom designed.

Thanks

Dave

Ive attatched a copy of my current header to see whether this is possible or not.

In relation to the above, I also have a problem when viewing with IE. With firefox all the columns are lined up, however IE shows it as the attachment -

Regarding the header and the difference in colour at the sides of the bars, ive solved it slightly, however having a problem with IE.

I opened Navigationleft and Navigationright and changed the colour to match the rest of the background. This works fine in FF, however in IE it shows a slight box.

Ive attatched a couple of screenshots.

Sorry for all the questions, however I really like this style and would love to solve these few issues so I can use it.

Got the text issue sorted out now, Its just the post above im having issues with now! Any help really is greatly appreciated.

You can assign a width to the main column manually, which should solve this add:

Code:

width="100%"
to the main column <td> tag :)

I'm working on getting a PSD title image so people can edit the title text now.

powerful_rogue 03-24-2009 07:24 AM

Thanks Ian, Thats really appreciated.

Ian Cunningham 03-24-2009 10:12 AM

The zip file has now been updated to include a PSD logo :) (using a different font, which you can change to whichever you like).

Hi Ian,

Ive just installed a mod which allows tabbed forums, however for some reason its bunched all the forums up together.

Here is a link to my test site - http://www.doverlocals.co.uk/testsit...php?styleid=12

Ive tried placing <br /> in various places but cant seem to get it to work. Would you be able to suggest anything at all please?

Because the template separates the categories it might mess things up a bit - it would be quite a bit of effort to join them together again... but if you really wanted to you could revert the forumdisplay templates and re-code the table headers to get the gradient :)

powerful_rogue 03-24-2009 05:18 PM

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply.

How difficult do you think it would be to separate them again? If I sent you the few template edits I made via PM (because the mods in Beta and not public release) would you be able to have a quick look through?

I wouldn't know how to do it without tinkering with a test site unfortunately, which would take quite a few hours. However, someone else here might be more familiar with what needs to be done :) I'll take a quick look at that page above's source code when I get some free time in the week and see if I can spot anything that might cause it.

Thanks Ian, Thats really appreciated.

In the mean time I reverted the Forumhome and the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost etc, however one problem is it places a bar above the category name.

Ive attatched a screenshot. Do you know of any simple way to place the bar which says "Forum, Last Post, Posts" etc, below where it says "Docked in Dover"

arash.kiani 03-25-2009 03:21 AM

gr8 job, i just wish it was also in other colours

DjlaH 03-26-2009 07:27 AM

thanks

maclean_cherry 03-26-2009 12:54 PM

How can I get the New Post button back? I've tried adding it into the Header template but I don't really know what I'm doing.

Can anyone give me a code snippet to put it above 'Todays Posts' in the Quick Links option?

Oh, and installed and nominated

maclean_cherry 04-01-2009 11:53 AM

Ok, I got the New Post button in there.

Next problem. This skin isn't compatible with the new V3.8.2 of VBulletin. All graphics are lost.
