Yes. There is an 'edit' link next to the default menu (and all super menus). Actually, now that I remember, the name default can't be changed for coding reasons. However, you can (and I often do this) move everything out of the default menu into some other menu. Empty super menus don't display.

thanks will try that :)

Edit: nope default still shows even when empty. maybe next update a rename option or call it settings :)

I have another request too for a future update, is it possible for Super Administrator to view certain menu's only as i have 2 levels of administrators on my site

Dr. Bantham 03-08-2009 12:32 PM

Many thanks for this one!

I just added a new product (Advanced Query Matic) and it is not displaying within the ACP menu. If I disable cpSuperMenu, it appears. Is there an issue with adding new menu components?

Incidentally, I have created new supermenus to organize to my taste and Default is empty, should this be relevant.

Not that I'm aware of. They should show up under Default and then you can move them wherever you want.

hambil 03-16-2009 10:15 AM

[tk] Settings Sort and [tk] Super Menu should work fine on 3.6 and above. I haven't tested any of the others outside of 3.8.

Rene Kriest 03-16-2009 12:38 PM

Simply awesome!

You made my vb day. My adminCP lacks structure and a clear view due to the many addons that add a menu group on their own to the adminCP.

When I go to the menu "Change Super Menu Settings"
the column "hr" doesn't show the saved settings.

the settings are saved, but not loaded for changes in that menu.

Sorry for my bad english.

i would really like to see my moderators have this available to them too
i would like to customise a menu for all moderators when they log in

Stoebi 03-30-2009 06:48 AM

It is possible to define some Menu-Settings (vBulletin-Settings, Announcements)
outside from the Default for quick access?

No, but it does respect the "Save Prefs" at the top of the cp menu. So you could create a super menu called "quick access", open it, and click save prefs and it will always be open when you go to the admincp.

I think that would be a different hack. The moderator menu doesn't grow like the admincp one does. Also, this mod doesn't restrict anyone from seeing things, it just organizes what they can already see.

RedDevil 04-01-2009 12:30 PM

Found a rather big problem.

I have just redone the super menu's and while trying to edit and rename i found this problem:

Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

Invalid SQL:

                UPDATE cpsupermenu_items
                SET supergroupid = 1
                WHERE supergroupid =;

This error is occuring if the title of the menu has the "&" in for example "Maintenance & Logs", you cannot edit or delete the menu.

I absolutely LOVE this mod!!! Having OCD, and needing things orderly and organized, the acp menu has long been a PIMA. This will ease my stress level when I log in to my acp.

Thank you hambil!

You'll probably want this, too, then. :p

Ohiosweetheart 04-04-2009 10:48 PM

haha. As strange as it sounds, I can't mess with the vB options settings. I've memorized where everything is , so I'd be lost if I did.
But thanks!
