Add Photopost Pro Gallery Link to postbit
 

This hack creates a link to the users Photopost Pro gallery. This was tested on Photopost Pro version 6.2 but should work on all 6.x versions and possible 5.x versions.

Installation instructions:
1. Import included .xml file: AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Add/Import Product
2. Set the url to your Photopost Pro installation via vBulletin Options -> TLB Photopost Gallery Link


This plugin will place the link into the specified template_hook. Take a look at your postbit and postbil_legacy templates for more information as wo what template_hooks are what. Typically you will use one of the following:

• postbit_userinfo_right - This hook is under the infractions and reputation.
• postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts - This hook is directly after the number of posts in the postbit
• postbit_userinfo_left - This hook is under the user name, user title and user rank.
• postbit_user_popup - This will put the link in the drop down menu from the username in the postbit.

no problem... I'm hoping to add to this in the future to show the link if there are photos in the gallery for that user or not. Maybe in the next day or so...

Installed and working perfectly. Would love it if perhaps we could have this represented by an image instead of a text link though. I've been wanting to do that with the regular vB albums links for quite some time. ^^;

Do you have an image you'd like to use? That can be easily done.

However I am also in favor of an icon or at least a line break at the end of photo gallery link.

great let us know then it can be released. also about the image instead of text would be nice. make sure you can do one for dark background and one for light backgrounds.

either this or another 'photopost' plugin for vB almost closed down my server, massive core.dump files 2000+ at 50megs each, can only be this or another, i'll report back with details once i have fixed the problem, needless to say i have disabled the two new plugins i installed and the core dumps have stopped temporarily, but it's too early to say yet.

Done that on 3.8.1, chose different hooks - no link shows up. I'm using postbit, the new one that is.

Same here...actually, on 3.8.2, no link at all.

For 3.8.x simply add:

to the top of the TLB PP Gallery Link: postbit_display_complete plugin.
For whatever reason in 3.8 the postbit hooks don't appear to have direct access to the $vbulletin variable.

So how do I insert an icon instead of a link? Any help would be much appreciated.

Does this work for both vBGallery and Pro?

I'm about to purchase Photopost and wasn't sure if this was possible in both versions.

In my application the link goes to the main photopost page and does not go the Members individual galleries. Any pointers as to how to fix this please.

Hmmmm, this isnt working for me and I *really* want it to! Its a great mod.

I installed the xml and set the path to my galleries and there isnt anything new in the profile.

Ideas?

Add and installed the plugin (with the global variable set since this is 3.8.4u1). However, now seeing:

global <link-to-users-gallery> ;

How do I remove the global and ;
