Classifieds

Removed by the Author because:
  • For 7 mods, there are 1905 downloads but only 577 clicked installed.
  • For these 577 installs I got 4 donations for Brand Free. Make a simple search on the net using the product name and you'll find that 50% have illegally removed my copyright.
  • I found 3 vb.org style sites, offering for download my mods but after PAID SUBSCRIPTION, or DONATION
After all, I'll stop be the idiot on this market.

Cerbero1000 02-13-2009 11:28 AM

COOL!!! Any screenshot??

jlew24asu 02-13-2009 12:04 PM

sounds promising, would love screens or demo

scottct1 02-13-2009 12:38 PM

Is there anyway to set it so that certain usergroups can post ads free, yet other usergroups be charged via paypal to post an ad?

hotwheels 02-13-2009 01:43 PM

Hey microhellas, I really appreciate you posting this to the vbulletin.org members, we needed something like this for our sites.

I know this probably isn't the place, but i will give you a suggestion on a mod that is seriously needed and i think most people would be willing to pay something for it, a shopping cart. I have been looking everywhere and i can't find one that is vbulletin friendly. A great example of a shoppign cart for vbulletin is cartplog, but sadly the author decided not to follow through with a pro version. The light version is alright, but it is missing allot of needed stuff.

I just don't know enough about coding to take a big swing at cartplog. But from what i have read, the original author doesn't have the time either. Maybe morgan/calorie, would let you take over cartplog and you can build it into a commercial version.

thunder_sti 02-13-2009 02:09 PM

A demo would be good.

Black Tiger 02-13-2009 02:33 PM

I tagged and would like to see some screenshots or demo of what is is too.
There were a bunch of screenshots with vbclassifieds, but since that's in the graveyard, the images of the screenshots are gone too.

Will there be a 3.8.x version too, or does this one already work in 3.8.x.?

Screenshoots attached. As for 3.8.x I can't say anything as I don't have it. Most probably yes, but there is no guarantee.

What type of cart? For tangible products (so with shipping fees etc) ot for downloadable?

Mary

ArnyVee 02-13-2009 04:45 PM

Count me in on those who would be willing to pay for a solid shopping cart system. I will be monitoring this one as well as I have folks that want to list things for sale every so often. Might be a nice addition to my site! :)

*tagged*

hotwheels 02-13-2009 04:58 PM

For tangibles. Just like this set up: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...light=cartplog

You can see a working example of the cartplog on my site, but it really isn't a good program, very limited in what you can do with it and the author has abandoned the mod. http://www.insanemustangs.com/forums/cartplog.php

I have it set up right now where you can view the cart without being a registered member, and if you read my last couple posts on the cartplog thread, you will see some of the stuff i listed that the program is missing.

doug.........Oh, and thanks for your quick response.

Lone Gunman 02-13-2009 07:10 PM

downloaded for later.... thanks

hotwheels 02-13-2009 07:17 PM

And seriously, i think this will be a money maker (shopping cart). I have done allot of searches on this lately, and this is one mod that is really needed for us. The classifieds are too, but a cart would put most of our sites over the top.

Black Tiger 02-13-2009 11:38 PM

@Microhellas: Thanks for the screens. Pushed the "mark installed" button but only downloaded for later use, but that's no problem. Looks great!

X2. The ability to allow some usergroups to post for free, while charging others, is necessary for most.

LCN2007 02-14-2009 03:55 AM

Is there a way to have a wanted categories?

What do you mean exactly? To give the ability to users to suggest new categories?

Currently the only that you can setup as special to usergroups are:
  • How many Featured Ads they can have
  • How many Bold Ads they can have
  • and how many Photos per Ad they can upload

Good point. I just went through and added it to my installation and it took less than 5 minutes. If anyone else would like to add the protection which I suggest you do, instructions are here:

At Usergroup permissions you can setup how many photos per ad can members of that usergroup upload.

maria@terra-travel.gr is my PayPal email. Please write your domain as remark.

Thank you

WEBDosser 02-14-2009 07:36 AM

Without any mean to offend you, you're doing something wrong. This script is working for 1 1/2 years now. There was a wrong approach on coding this point on the early days as I had that number counting the photos for all Ads that a user has. Later I changed it to be the max photos per Ad, and since then I had no any complain. But I'll try in my installation and I'll revert a bit later.

WEBDosser 02-14-2009 08:25 AM

oops.. you are right.

thanks.

Sorry, but I can't duplicate your issue. Check at:
http://www.lagadas.com/main/classifieds.php
I've post 4 photos if I remember well.

By the chance, I found a wrong approach on uploading the photos one by one. I've changed it to support multiple uploads in another script, but seems that I forgot to do the same in Classifieds. Maybe during the week, I'll post an update as it look likes childish uploading one by one.

Toupsx 02-14-2009 10:13 AM

Any possibility of making the payment payable with credits or points on the forum such as VBCredits or virtual money instead of real money?

thunder_sti 02-14-2009 04:43 PM

All of these look good but it's missing something very useful on these classifieds.

Why not change the style of any classified sytem to a classified system where members can post/reply to that classified item(s).

For example if I use this mod: They will only see what I upload and what ever info. I put down.
and thats it, pretty much you buy it or not.

Best way to have it would be:

Members can come inside that item, and reply/post on the item. Can you show me a picture of the engine, of the rear tires, details and key info, which a buyer can request, without sending an email.

Pretty Much like the review post php thingy.

just my .02 cents

Thanks

  1. ReviewPost=$99.90 - Classifieds=Free
  2. ReviewPost is Review
  3. My Review script (when I'll decide to post it here), has much more than ReviewPost even Free:
    1. Unlimited Rating questions, even different per category/subcategory
    2. Amazon style Reviews (eg someone writes a review and other users can agree/disagree with this review).
    3. Seperate vB Thread per product for discussion
But as I wrote this is my REVIEWS and NOT Classifieds module.

Mary

Cerbero1000 02-14-2009 05:28 PM

Wow! I would like to see your review script!!! Is there a versione for 3.7?
Thanks Microhellas! You rock!! (are you italian????)

GoTTi 02-14-2009 09:43 PM
