I worte this game a few year ago under another Name for vB 2.3 and 3.0. @smoker does the th vB 3.5 version. But now it's time to bring it out to all peoples who like it for vB 3.7 and 3.8.

Features:

  • Challenge Mode
  • xTreme Version (see Rules in game)
  • PM and/or eMail Notification
Have Fun :D

Yes, of course!

icemann 02-12-2009 05:56 PM

Is there any way of changing or deleteing highscores?

Coroner 02-13-2009 03:35 AM

No! Only over your database. They will deleted automatically when it's over 20 eintries

TimberFloorAu 02-13-2009 04:05 AM

Be nice to have a postbit award for the top 3 high scorers or indeed those that have played the game, and a link to challenge them direct.

Ste

Great MOD incidentally.

Coroner 02-13-2009 04:33 AM

The challenge is the game itself.
Only the best score will stored into the highscore list

Mark.B 02-13-2009 04:04 PM

Having trouble with challenges....

The person who is challenged gets the tick and the cross, but clicking the green tick does nothing.

Meanwhile the person who isssued the challenge gets to play a game with no score and no high score showing. When the game finishes, clicking submit gives this error:
Code:

Fatal error: Registry object is not an object in [path]/includes/class_dm.php
You then cannot get back to a normal game...refreshing just takes you back to the same game and the score will not submit.

Coroner 02-13-2009 04:55 PM

So, pls take a look. Hope that is fixed (dices_play.php, dices_functions.php).
I've test the Challenge with the Safari Browser - and it works.

The Fatal Error is fixed !

Sunka 02-13-2009 05:15 PM

And to update...we need to replace all files and reimport product?

Sunka 02-13-2009 05:17 PM

And how to put link for dices preferences in ACP just a bit lower?

Thank you...I have reinstalled, my initial tests show it works, I have asked my members to test it fully and will report back.

Coroner 02-14-2009 03:45 AM

No, only 2 files to upgrade

Mark.B 02-14-2009 07:29 AM

My members are suggesting it would be better to have the high score table only store one score per user....their best score....as at the moment one person playing it regularly can fill the entire score tabel.

Would that be possible, perhaps as an admincp option?

Mark.B 02-14-2009 07:46 AM

Hmmm...there is still an issue with challenges...

One player cannot complete the game....one of the rows within the game, when you click it after the dice have rolled, comes up with a blank dice even though it has a score value. At the end of the game it thinks you have not finished and you cannot submit the score, you can only "Cancel", which gives you a score of zero in the challenge.

Also some players are reporting that they cannot play a "single" game again once their challenge game has been played, they just keep getting thrown back to the challenge game, even if it's been played.

Coroner 02-14-2009 12:33 PM

1.) only one ? I have no problems to play a single game
2.) will check it out

Coroner 02-14-2009 01:24 PM

Ok, i've done the following things:

1.) I start a challenge (searched only for 1 user)
2.) add him to the challenge
3.) start the challenge
4.) play my challenge game (I also places dices in the line 1-6 with NO points)
5.) submit my score
6.) I start a single game - works - and submit my score

--- now I'm a test user challenge by myself *g

1.) accept the challenge
2.) start the challenge
3.) play my challenge game (I also places dices in the line 1-6 with NO points)
4.) submit my score
5.) start a single game - works - and submit my score

what have you done ?

Hmm I have just done another test challenge and it worked....

I am puzzled as I can no longer replicate it.

I am waiting for more feedback from members and will report back.

Could you look into the high score table though if you get chance? An option to only record highest score by a user would be nice. :D

Coroner 02-15-2009 06:24 AM

Yes I can, but ... need time.

No problem, there is no rush at all. It it just a suggestion for the future. :D

I have found I needed to empty the two challenges tables in the database as I think we had some incomplete ones messing things up. I think it's working ok now, but I shall report back if anything shows up.

Mark.B 02-15-2009 09:48 AM

Ok my only observation is that there is a score displayed while playing your challenge that seems to bear little relation to anything....it looks like it is the other person's previous challenge.
