vB Ad Management
 

This modification allows you to add advertisements to your vBulletin software. It's very easy to use, very quick and allows almost unlimited customisation. There is no restriction regarding the content you can use. Adsense, images, flash, plain text and you can use template conditionals and phrases as well. It will put anything, anywhere. Just about.

What is the difference with Forum Ad Management?

Hello!

Forum Ad Management is an add-on for this which adds the same features to forum advertisements.

So if you want things like ads at the bottom of every page, you only need vB Ad Management. If you want things like ads with posts, you need Forum Ad Management as well.

I tried to install it in 3.6.8 and get this error:

Maybe this is a 3.8 version and not for 3.6

It appears that the files have not been correctly uploaded, vbam_functions.php is in the wrong place or missing completely. Think I'll add that one to the FAQ...

It made my forum disappear so I had to disable it.

I put my Adsense code in the Navbar adcode box, changed the other settings and clicked save, returned to my forum and didn't see any ads displayed, when I pressed refresh my forum was gone - the header and footer were still visible but everything in between was missing. When I went back to the control panel to edit the Navbar code the only textbox that was visible was 'Navbar Adcode' - everything beneath 'Adcode preview' was gone - like the html had been truncated.

everything seems to be working ok, but when i enable advertisements, i am getting an error in IE browser, page loads fine, but the browser is telling me a syntax error.

If i turn off advertisements globally, the error goes away.

You probably removed the copyright

Yes, just re-uploaded them and reactivated it and same error - forum disappears.

It says a syntax error line 28

It's an error that shows up in the lower left corner of the broswer, all IE says when i click the error icon , a box comes up and says syntax error , line 28.

It seems to work fine otherwise, and fine in FF.

Finally, where have you been damnit.. I had to do all this manually as your hack didnt worked for me on vb 3.8 :)

Disable any other vBam modules you're using to check which one is causing the problem and then file a bug report please, make it private and include vBulletin admin and FTP login details.

Could I have a link to a page where the error happens please.

It is unlikely to be supported. Last time it became so popular I couldn't possibly deal with everyone who wanted help and I have less time now.

What support do you require? You're unlikely to need help getting it working (notice the lack of people asking what to do, the manual is substantial and the menus fully explanatory) and I intend to support it in the sense of making sure the latest version is free of bugs and other issues.
