problem with post icons
 

hi...

i upload a new post icons from vbulletin and i delete the old icons

icons disappear??

They disappear because you've deleted them from the server.

ok i put it again but the same not shown :( is there a way to make them shown ?

and why i cant edit the icon1.gif ? in picture 2

Just simply upload your new post icons & you can do 1 of the following:

1. upload your post icons & add them in admincp
2. upload your post icons with the exact same name & extension overwriting the old ones

I dont know you are doing it rightly!

providing you still have the style on your computer, you can simply upload the images/icons folder to your server

i upload it

the icons shown in the new threads

but the old disapper

i mean in this thread about old threads

i think i will make restore

Here is the problem:

my bro want to put a new post icons

he upload the icons and delete old icons

today i check the site

all icon beside the threads disappear only the post icon shown ?! in picture 2 up

i upload the icons again but the icons beside old thread doesnt shown

if you make a new thread the icon will shown

i dont know what i do i think i will make restore database

try clearing off your cookies and refresh your forum page, it should show up!! dont restore teh forums for this!

make sure the icons you've uploaded have the same name & extension as the ones previously

what you advise me ? upgrade or restore

here is my advice! if you restore or upgrade you wont get your old skin back, and you will have your default skin right so instead of that I give you a alternative

First step:

check you uploaded rightly and u are sure u done it rightly

then step two:

go to style and templates---> download or upload styles---> Title for Uploaded Style = "some name"----> click import

and you will have your new vbulletin default skin

then go to vbulletin options style and language settings set your new skin to default

check if its displaying all the things rightly

if it does not work then restore

just remove the files and load up new vbulletin and point the config to your database and install the forums

why would u need the database? but yes for security reasons take a back up.
