Some helpful Vbulletin related sites

Are there any suggested sites that offer other Vbulletin support and help? I'm very new to coding/programing/designing, and I dont have a lot of time to learn things at the moment, which requires me to ask, ask, and ask again on how something is done...

And lately it seems as if I've been asking to much - and it's been showing, lack of replies in my topics...If I even get a reply. Or else it's just full of me bumping - hoping for help.

Any other suggested sites that offer paid/free support? I've googled and only found ones with few members - and didn't seem active/helpful..

I can offer $$ for help if need be.(and have before, to no avail)

Just kinda sick and tired of being ignored here - you'd think $$ would make people interested...Guess not.

from what i know, coders are not interested to teach... even with money. it's complicated to teach in a distance.

the best thing is usually to read the codes, existing stuff is documented and it work, so you can always play with this.

They all to busy talking about the new president of the united states to notice anything else going on in the world.
This is actually the best site for help m8,so if u dont get an answer just repost 24 hrs later as theres always someone out there willing to help.
Also you should not have to pay for Help and if u do then it shows how sad the times really are as vbulletin.org is a place for all members to help one another.
Besides here try floris site - he always happy to help.

Thanks lasto I'll check them out.

I try and offer $$$ because I know their taking time from their sites (or helping other sites) - in order to help with what I need help with...When getting free help (which is awesome) - you have to play by their time frame, and when they want to help which sometimes, can be a bit tedious...

There's so many people out in the world now that won't help, unless they receive something in return - and even when it's of Cash value - still nothing..

Maybe a while back this place was free help, but since I came here (granted i'm needy) - i've had to pay for any help i've gotten with the exception of a few small things.

Awesome - much appreciated Loco - ty

I'm not trying to say the Support here lacks - or is minuscule in anyway...I just feel as if I came off 'needy' to anyone who is helpful @ Vb.org and kinda seems like it's taken a toll. So it might be time to seek help from additional resources (dont want anyone to think i was mad when i made this topic)

Hello Sawa
I don't know if this is okay to post here but my host does mostly vb forums and is the best tech support I've ever encountered online. Prices reflect customer service and I'm willing to pay for peace of mind. I'll PM you the info if you would like. Also, I'm VERY in-experienced with anything technical and found that just spending a few hours playing with the ACP can help a lot. I've learned mostly from just trying to and hoping I can undo what I do wrong, sometimes I can't. The back-end of VB is batta-bing once you know it. It's like riding a bicylce, you never forget once you do it. :D

Also, I've had some really great people help me from here as well, and several other offers to help.

I hope this helps.

Gabby

Going to agree with nexialys here.

About the sites listed above, there’s a big difference between explaining something, and teaching something.

I guess best is to start with the basics, html, css, php, javascript, etc. These are languages which are well documented, and where many beginner tutorials are provided.

After learning the basics, everything else will become much more clear than it were before.

I recently got some help from a member here and we used my gotomeeting.com so he could take my screen and controls at anytime to show me exactly, step by step, how to do it and I could ask as many questions as I need right then. Then I demonstrated it back to him while he was watching so he could correct my mistakes. It worked great and I'm very thankful for him.

I don't know if that would help you?

Shelley_c 01-21-2009 12:23 AM

Remote assistance?

GSeybold 01-21-2009 01:44 AM

Yes it worked fantastic. He could see my screen, take control of things show, uploaded from my pc. It was great.

nexialys 01-21-2009 01:49 AM

best way to induce a pirate is to let him enter in your home without having a need for the key...

use your webcam, pointed to your monitor, and chat directly...

this remote thing is easily cracked to pirate any computer, even if it shows white hands... i can tell you, it's my job to break these... lol

Brandon Sheley 01-26-2009 06:33 PM

I use logmein for remote logging.. works great and I've never had a problem with "pirates"
