I disagree. I actually prefer them. The closer a new style is to the default style in terms of templates and images, the easier it is to upgrade.

Custom styles that depart widely from the default may look nice but they are also one of the main reasons people procrastinate in upgrading, which makes the forum more vulnerable to hacking, etc.

OK. Sometimes people carry things too far, I don't like that too. But he could even add a gradient picture to category titles. :) I meant that in my other post...
