Nostradamus 2012 Predictions?

We have 3 years to go?

I watched this the other night. It was actually pretty cool. It wasn't only Nostradamus who predicted this either which was the 'spooky' thing haha

actually Nostradamus written that my country would be the land of welcoming and wealth for the new era...

so come on down, play with us!

Generally I take the opposing side when it comes to Nostradamus and other fiction writers... But, when it comes to 2012 I have my reservations because their have been other perditions from the Aztec, the Chinese, the Mayans and a few others. We'll see what happens I guess.

I know, I was thinking the same thing, 3am in the morning I'm thinking well what the heck, why the hell am I'm dieting then? And made a pan of brownies and ate every inch of it . LOL

Yes but I haven't figured out the metric system yet! I guess I better start learning. ;) I do hear French men are great lovers though so I'm on it. Well Canada that is. :D

Same here, but also remember the Mayans didn't predicit their own demise. Well I guess that's what I'll keep telling myself to make me feel less worried.

I say we all just start eating whatever we want, be merry, rack up a ton of credit card debt, buy whatever we can't afford, do what we've always wanted to do. What the heck, will it matter? :D

It's all out of our hands, I'll continue living my life and if it the world ends at 2012, at least I won't have to repay my student loans. :p

I do love apocalyptic fiction though. :)

MY wife would not be happy to see me applied a reputation i do not deserve... she hates having women hitting the front door just to see me... rofl --- and we're not French, just canadian who speak french!

He has been proved wrong on many occassions.And if the world ends i dont really care so long as all u lot go with me :)

Maybe the world will just end "as we know it"...

For me, I'll treat it just as seriously as every other end of the world prediction, aka not at all. Why? Well a prediction from the same person who made a ton of often wrong predictions used to justify anything and an ancient civilisation aren't the greatest of reliable sources (why the heck do they even give seriousness to these mythical end of the world doomsday predictions by a culture that couldn't even predict their own demise or future?)

Does anybody has notice the 'Brain Damage's epidemic' around lately? :eek:

Didn't Nostradamus say the world was gonna end in 1999?

actually he announced a new era which would make the world run different...

if you evaluate what he wrote:

1- a new war that would start in 1999... Ben Laden started building his empire in 99... after he worked for the USA for a long time, with deals and governments

2- a new league to protect the community would raise after a period of war, not built with the regular forces... actually, the USA are the ones dealing with the "bad guys", which is new to the European way to deal with the wars from the last 800 years.

3- a society without war, willing to preserve peace and protecting the communities would raise from the others... my country, Quebec, is without war - we never had war, we have UN agency, no real military (the only army we have is from Canada) - we are the only country willing to build a real Blue Berrets force to protect the others instead of going into wars.

4- a wreck of the financial society that would lead to a new way to build society... we usually call it the StarTrek era, and we're going directly into it today with the financial crisis everybody is living.

5- new plague coming from the south... AIDs is a good plague if someone can say the opposite.. lol

... i just took 2 minutes to name these... there are tons of other things that Nostradamus is listing...

It is not what Nostradamus has written, but how others interpret it. ;)

The USA is not dealing with bad guys, lol they are often even befriended with bad guys. All they are dealing with is securing their economic interest.

They were friends with Iraqis, then nope...
They were friends with Afghans, then nope, now yes again...
Somalians, Koreans, Vietnamese, etc...

is like any family, they have changed so many bands, that soon all combinations will be over :p
