Change Threads' Prefix Inline
1 Attachment(s)
Brought to you by Milad?s vBulletin Services Introduction & Description: It is difficult to change threads' prefixes, thread by thread, the editing process of each thread to change the prefix is inappropriate and it takes a long time. This product allows you to set a prefix to multiple threads inline, using the moderation drop-down menu in forum display page (see the screen shoot). you will save your time and effort. Features:
How to use? It works exactly like closing, opening, sticking or unsticking multiple threads inline. Limitation: You can't change threads' prefix across forums. any selected threads from forums different from the current one, will be ignored. This is because of vBulletin currently aren't able to check against the validity of a prefix for a given forum. Installation & Upgrade: 3.8.0 beta 4 at least is required. One step! Import the product file product-threadprefix_changeinline.xml and you're done. Choose yes to overwrite for upgrading. Change log:

Do you have prefixes added in your admincp?

Just installed, work fine, many thank's :)
Very useful, thanks. This should definitely be part of the default moderation tools.
I installed but I cant see any of this mod in the inline moderation.
I have installed prefix in my admincp |
you may use an old version of SHOWTHREAD template!
I was receiving error messages since I upgraded to vBulletin 3.8.0, but then I updated to the 3.8 version of this mod and it's working great now. Thanks :D
Thanks for the update to a 3.8.x release.
I had also been receiving the same error messages after upgrading my board and spend ages scratching my head because another of my mods was also using hooks in the same places as this mod. |
Great, installed

Mine was working, and now it's not. How can I figure out a conflicting mod? Also, if there is another mod conflicting, is this resolvable? I really wanted to use this.
Using 3.8.1 |
See what hacks use the same hooks as this hack.
How do I do that?
Found it:
vBulletin Blog (can't remember the sequence of installing this) 2.0.1 Patch Level 1 Separate Sticky and Normal Threads (which was there when it worked) AutoPm on Thread Moderation (which was there when it worked) |

Just FYI, for me, I had an old FORUMDISPLAY template that needed the new hook added. This took me a while to track down, so I thought I'd share.
Great Mod!
Anyway, is there a possibility to have this inline mod also in a single thread? Would be really cool to quick-edit the current thread-prefix. Greets scr4ve, JD-Team |
THANK YOU! Very useful.
I'd love to be able to click on the prefix to change it. (The way vbulletin.org does it)
Thank you, works great!!
Only works for the administrator account, why can't the moderators use this ?
is it possible to do this with tags?
Possible, but there are no plans.
This is the best mod i ever installed. After an upgrade from a non-prefix version, this is a very handy tool. Thanx man, nominated for MOTM,
Thanks for this - great mod
Just a note - I had to create a phrase myself to avoid Code:
Could not find phrase 'inline_prefix_changed' Running 3.8.1 PL1 here... |
Ignore my previous post, this mod works for admins and mods, it's great, maybe the best one we use.
This might be the wrong place to ask so please excuse me in advance. I've installed this Mod and it works great. One question I have is does anyone know if, or how, I can restrict the prefixes so that only Admins and/or Mods can actually see them ?
I'd like to have threads in a forum prefixed/tagged but I don't want the general users to see the prefixes. |
It only works in a category, but canĀ“t i change the prefix in a thread?
