The Url of my site help!!!
Ok here is something. Everytime i click on my image at the top of the page (the image that takes you to your home page) when it brings me to my home page it says "*Site name*.com/index.php/index.php. Is there a way that i could fix it? Like is the problem that the link in the coding of the image is wrong and it says that? Or what. Here is an example.

what url do you have as your site URL in vboptions > general settings
This is what i have http://www.coderz4life.net/index.php. And its showing up with two of the index.php after i click my image. So whats going on?
Remove /index.php or /index.php/
ok i did that and now it says http://www.coderz4life.net. So it still says http://www.coderz4life.net/index.php when i type coderz4life.net in but when i click on the image once again it puts another /index.php in making it http://www.coderz4life.net/index.php/index.php. Does it take a while or what?
I would say refresh your browser, but I also see /index.php/index.php
If your setting is 'http://www.coderz4life.net' then I don't know. Could it be something in your htaccess file? |
It could have something to do with your forum being in a directory called index http://www.coderz4life.net/index/
In the header template try changing the index.php to /index.php for the image.
I see things are moving around, but why now use a directory named 'index'?
Check your header template, see if it is hard-coded in twice.
Where do i find that? Lol sorry im kind of new to this.
you might always want to check the .htaccess file
sounds like a rewrite issue, have you got vbseo, and tried disabling it just to test?
--------------- Added [DATE]1231023444[/DATE] at [TIME]1231023444[/TIME] --------------- Just looking at your site and code, it seems you have all links, preceded by index.php So its more than likely, you have perhaps set your base url as mysite.com/forum/index.php instead of mysite.com/forum/ |
Nothing is in my .htaccess file is empty so far, well the only thing in it is just a mod that makes my site faster.
Then timber where can i find my base url at? Do i find it here? vboptions > general settings??? Oh and when i right clicked my image and went to properties the address said mysite.net/index.php/index.php so? does that have to do with anything? |

In your admin section, you should just have http://www.coderz4life.net vBulletin Options --> Site Name --> Forum URL Edit: Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. |
It still doesn't work. Ugh. Is there like a solution to this? I want to get this over with 0.0.
At this point I would open up a support ticket.
Have to say this though, for your forum name, this problem is pretty ironic. Edit: Did you create a new style? |
HIPHABS, would you like me to look into this for you ?
check the logo, the url in the html is most likely ending in index.php so when you use that link, it is there twice..... just a hunch:confused:
