vB Mod Update Checker

This is a simple little addition to your forum, and basically creates a daily cron that will check your modification versions against the latest versions available. If any newer versions are found, you will be notified at the specified email. Simple as that!

Please note this will not work for modifications which do not have an update check URL within the product.

this is cool something that wordpress do and it automatically updates and install.This should be a default to vb :D

I have an older mod that does basically this...
But that one also has a link to import products at the top of the page :D

i Use This Mod

It Works Fine in 3.8 and put new Updates at the Top of the ACP HomeSite.
And he Marked the New Addons in the Addon List Red.

I wasn't aware there was already a similar mod about (I did try searching) :)

Oh well, choice is yours! The other mod does seem a lot more indepth where-as this simply sends emails :)

MrD - Possibly yeah, although this is a minor addition and at the moment I'm spending more time on the bigger additions I've currently released publically :)
