Dog or Cat Person?

Are you a dog or cat person? Or both.

G0F0RBR0KE 12-23-2008 10:12 PM

I'm a dog person and sometimes a cat person...sooo, i'm a both kinda ;O

Michael Biddle 12-23-2008 10:21 PM

Definitely dogs. I tend to speed up when I see a cat in the road..

Shelley_c 12-23-2008 10:26 PM

Dog person, I never did like cats. Btw there's a typo in your title it's saying "cars" instead of "cat" I'm assuming.

Wayne Luke 12-23-2008 11:29 PM

Dog...

Cats hang out with Clowns and are therefore evil by association.

Lynne 12-23-2008 11:47 PM

Cats all the way! Although we did have the sweetest bordie collie - she made me tolerate dogs for her 16 years of life.

deezelpope 12-24-2008 08:42 AM

I'm a cat-person (proud owner of four feisty felines) who also loves dogs! Better be BIG dogs, though, nothing small and yippy...gimme a Rottweiler or Bull Mastiff, thank you.

Roms 12-24-2008 11:20 AM

Dogs...

I grew up with both. My Mom is a big cat person so I don't mind them but... they only come to you when they want something - like another species I know... :p

Lizard King 12-24-2008 11:26 AM

I used to be a dog lover and i grew up with dogs but recently i only have 1 cat at my home and plan to keep her for a long time.

Deceptor 12-24-2008 02:14 PM

Both really, my family had three dogs when I was growing up, and we ended up getting a cat too :)

iogames 12-24-2008 02:34 PM

Fish

GSeybold 12-24-2008 03:09 PM

Both here too!.... Although I think my one cat is a bit more needy. My dogs are very mellow.

Paul M 12-24-2008 03:44 PM

Cats.

12-27-2008 02:39 AM

I like both of them of but if I had to choose I would pick dogs.
On second thoughts I pick Cat since I am starting to really like them.

Brandon Sheley 12-27-2008 02:50 AM

dog, I can't stand cats

UncoderMom 12-27-2008 02:57 AM

woof woof

I'm allergic to cats.

indie2industry 12-27-2008 06:23 AM

I own a snake. :o

Savagetastic 12-27-2008 05:44 PM

I'm a dog person. Cat lovers have told me I love dogs and hate cats because I'm a needy person who craves attention, but what's the point of having a pet if it just lies around? Sure, some cats are affectionate, but in the end you are just the person who cleans the litter box and feeds them.

 Hogwash, I say! Cats have the potential to be just as loyal and affectionate as dogs, and, as their companion, you undoubtedly mean much more to them than just some person who feeds them and cleans their litter box.

My wife has 4 cats.

All they do is fight and run up and down the stairs. At night they try to lay on you so you suffocate in your sleep. The only time they give anyone any attention is when their bowl is empty.

As do I, Wayne. All with personalities as distinct and different as their voices.:)

LOL! :D They're just playing...at least they're not laying around, being fat and lazy. I have a cat who sleeps on my pillow with me...she does it because she loves me and wants to be close, not because she's trying to kill me in my sleep.:D The other three sleep next to my legs or around me feet.https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/12/8.gif And yes, they are extra good at begging when they're hungry...but I like to use the opportunity to teach them little tricks...I taught one to give me kisses on my forehead before I'd feed him. Gotta love that!:)

Certainly doesn't sound like playing with the hissing and growling at each other. They draw blood on occasion as well, a lot of the times mine.

Oh my! Sounds as if they like to play rough! :D LOL! Mine play rough on occasion, but never draw blood, with each other, anyway. Hm, now that I think about it, it's been awhile since I've been scratched or bitten...maybe I learned my lesson.

Um, just a hunch here, but you don't happen to have two females, do you?

Wayne Luke 12-28-2008 11:28 PM

Trust me it isn't playing. It is territorial conflict and outright fighting. I have the scars from being scratched to prove it from when they chase each other around the corner and one jumps in my chair with claws extended.

2 females and 2 males. All have been sterilized. The 2 females hate one of the males and go ballistic whenever he gets within 10 feet of them. The second male is kind of laissez-faire and doesn't really get into it. The 2 females have no problems with each other.

Anyway, the cats were tolerable until the last male was adopted. Now I pretty much hate the species.

Hm, well, I'll be. Oh, I certainly believe you, that it's real fighting, but I guess I was just hoping that it was play-fighting.

I had problems a few years back with my female cat after we adopted a female kitten...they just could NOT get along. So, I had to adopt the kitten back out...our home was a living hell on earth with those two together. Never had a problem with our three boys, though. They're all pretty laid back and accepting of new situations. I guess always thought that the reason the two never got along was because they were female, but now I'm wondering if maybe some cats are just more territorial than others?

That's such a shame, really. I'd consider adopting that last male out again, if I were you, if just to keep the peace at home.

Got to be Dogs -

Dogs attach themselfs to the owner and are loyal unlike a cat who attaches itself to the house.

Dean C 12-29-2008 10:40 AM

Definately a cat person here :) I have 5

Shamil. 12-29-2008 02:22 PM

definately a cat person, :D 20 or mare cats?

popowich 12-31-2008 07:38 PM

I don't want a dog. Maybe a small one someday. We have 2 cats, 2 hamsters, and a chinchilla.
