New PM As Notice

Description:
This product will replace the default PM popup and display it as a notice instead.

Installation:
All the installation information is in the package.

Yipie! That's what I always wanted.

The popup bugged me alot. Somehow useful, somehow annoying (save 10 tabs in Firefox and restore them while you receive a popup...).

Maybe colorr changes to the notice tab will do a little more magic.

Yes - it should be compatible, as that modification uses the notifications number, and is not reliant on the PM popup.

Do I need anything else to make this work? I have installed but no luck, it doesnt display when I get a PM.

You must have "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up" enabled in your User CP. Also, make sure that notices actually works in the first place. You may have outdated templates. Test this by making a "dummy notice" and see if you can see that.

It's possible, but not without some modifications (and an extra query, maybe). The system as it stands now just piggybacks off vBulletin.

- Is it possible to enable for some usergroups only?
- (as students_forum already asked) Is it possible to have this new PM notice to stay until the PM has been read?

Possible, but not available in the modification by default.
