basicaly finished design for my new website.

c&c welcome as always. been a long time since i touched photoshop or vbulletin so go easy on me :P

However, your layout is pretty nice,

had no problems with other vbulletin in the name domains in the past so cant see them jumping on me for the domain name.. hopefully lol unless this is a new thing they have decided to do? wasnt like that years ago from what i remember but hey i could be wrong :)

That was probably before vB was bought out by Internet Brands...I would change it now to save you time and a lot of trouble!

actually ,beside the cool look anybody can have from a skin generator, what do you suggest to release on this site once you are ok to open it?!... i suppose you have plans to release hacks and skins, like indicated on the forum, but i also suppose you will ask permission for each code you try to steal from vb.org if it is the case, because you are not the first to open a vB.org replacement site, and 99% have failed miserably to provide unique content...

and the ones who are good to start are usually blocked by morons with too much self esteem... (read my sig)

It looks like "vBulletin" was submitted Dec. 2005 so if you have an old registered domain then you *might* be OK but for any new domain names then you need to submit a support ticket requesting approval. Of course, based upon the comments from staff members in the support forums, that approval likely is not going to happen. Either way... using "vBulletin" in the domain without approval would be taking a chance.

haha yeah. i wont be selling the site to vbstyles this time around :P

on the note of the domain name.. spoke to jelsoft and i need to change the domain. not a problem just a small pain :P

will work out a new name today at somepoint and go about sorting everything back out.


@nexialys: unsure what you mean by skin generator. and you are way off on what the site is for.. its not to replace or be anything like vb.org lol its a premium skins site. just it is done with a subscription for cheap rather than buying them on there own.

Looks like a great site and I like the style. :) On a side note: In my opinion, their are some members comments (the members that feel a need to comment to every single thread and make it about themselves) that are better left ignored.. Good luck with your site I know you'll do well.

So will they allow you to use "VB" in the domain name? (ie vBnow)

Just a thought... Why not just use the word "bulletin" or "BB" and then in the future you could expand and add some features for other 3rd party software.. ;) (ie: Bulletinstyles, BBstyles, Forumskins)

have settled on a new domain sitten making all the changes to the design and text just now. will edit this thread with the new name once i grab the domain heh. glad i woke up early today :)

Plus outside of the vBulletin community, "VB" is associated with "Visual Basic" for quite a number of years.
I have several domains in my collection yet I'm not using; hit me up on PM if you're interested.

went with the no thrills domain name vbskinclub.com does what it says on the tin lol

changes all made just have to transfer files around to the new domain.

Make sure to update your license with the new domain name.

PS "vB" can be used freely. "vBulletin" is a registered trademark since some time, and you can not use it in a domainname without prior permission from Jelsoft.

Great site man. I love the matching vB skin and homepage.

I would say bring the price down to around 6 or 5 euros or pounds w/e you use lol im dumb yes. Not all people want to pay 10.

Can't wait to see this launch and get lots of people.

one of the first members that register rip the skin. baned from site now but doubt that will stop them. clearly got the address from this thread tho wich is a shame there stalking this site looking for sites to rip.

Yeah, it's a nice enough looking style and forum. I've seen you do better though. your styles have always been top notch in the quality department though I would like to see your icons within the styles match that same kind of quality. Regardless of my opinion, your styles are amongst the best I've seen around the vbulletin circuit.

Never seen any of his styles before, mind showing me some shelly or cams? And that sucks getting your skin ripped, hope that doesn't happen to my custom skin i made for mine lol.

He used to own vbulletinbox.com but the forum is not there anymore. I'm sure with time he will be posting more of his styles.

yeah i need to put alot more time into icons than i do just now.. just seems to suck the life out of me when i see so many images needing changed heh.

yeah vbbox got sold to vbstyles. mistake on my part but hopefully this project will make up for it.

i dont have any recent skins to show i lost my harddrive awhile back and lost 100's of non used designs and files.

just getting back into working with photoshop and vb again so hopefully be back on form in no time.

but just like before I WILL release free stuff here when i get time.

Oh I know all about loosing stuff, I was about to give up when i lost 60 gig worth of psds but slowly compiled them all back over time. Anyway, I'm sure we will see many quality designs and I wish you all the best in your newest venture cams.

I seriously wish I had the money to upgrade my account when im able to. who knows I might be able to do it soon. lol

Well can't wait to see your free stuff for the meantime. If ya need any help with images on your forum just ask im pretty good with photoshop.
