Recession Where? -- Paid Requests -- Recession How?

I will preface this thread by saying "blablablablabla and bla" in hope that I have offended no one...

A LARGE amount of money is exchanging hands in the Paid Requests section... bla and bla and ka-ching.... It's sweet considering the turmoil that some politicians would have you believe...

Question: How many of YOU think the law makers in the US and abroad are overusing the words "economy" and "recession" in the same sentence? Perhaps they have yet to be abuse by PayPal chargebacks? LOL --- Perhaps they don't care? As long as it's not their money in question - doesn't matter?

What do you think?

Jacquii.

((mumbles - I feel so free of bla-chunks now...))

Recession isn't a subjective term. It means something very specific, typically two consecutive quarters of falling real gross national product.

Some things do well in recessions, pawn shops and pizzia deliveries will probably do well and some of us think, because people will go out less, there may be actual gains in some online areas.

Hmmm- must've been drunk - Got a kewl pear out of the deal anyway...
Good points UNCODERMOM & PUNCHBOWL - I suppose some industries do tend to fair a bit better than others in such a slowed economic times. I wonder if I can get a $MILLION dollar bailout of JacquiiDesigns LOL - Nevermind - that's just silly :P

Jacquii.

btw - Why the hell did you (PaulM) edit my post? RIDICULOUS!
Hmmm - must offended. So sad.

Looks like walmart isn't suffering the economic woes of the great deperession we are currently experiencing. So much so some poor guy got stampeded upon by a herd of hungry customers. It's crazy, but we live through crazy times in a world of crazy type folk.

Anyway, yeah.... poor guy but when buisness is this good the economic strain isn't much of a strain.

Paul edited out the sentence about your mother's private parts because I found it highly offensive and I complained about it, that's why.

Let's all move on!

Dean C 12-07-2008 08:59 AM

Just because something isn't offensive to you, doesn't mean it's not offensive to other people Jacquii. Why you must you have this attitude all the time? Can't you be nice and get along :)?

Only in New York City - Poor Dude was trampled underfoot = akin to being handed out a bogus infraction from the Slow Economy Gods = suspended from life... Yup - sorta sad...

The Hulk for $9. At those prices, it's every man for himself!

Um- Damn! And here I am trying so hard at blending in to the witty of vBS (vBulletin Society) Anyway - I suppose it just goes to show that you cannot hardly begin to think about pleasing everyone. I suppose in the big scheme of things - my Mom's honeypot has nothing at all to do with the economy. It's a bit sad that I have just been censored for NOTHING though...

Imagine a world in which everyone was offended. Everyone would be walking around saying exactly nothing. What a perfect world. Attitude for fodder for thought. Hmmmm....

:(

I would have placed the question mark before the smiley face. That's just me though Dean. So, let's get back on topic. Move on, hug a little... okay. hug a lot. move on, get along and converse into why we are knee deep in recessionitis which seems to be overhyped by the powers that be who seem to gain whether or not the plebs of this world suffer the econmic woes of the mistakes made by our cherished banking system, goverments etc etc and so forth.

It was just one of the bargains mentioned in the original report I read:o

Shelley_c 12-07-2008 09:18 AM

If you want a real bargain, (I did buy this for my husband) you could purchase the gentlemans ballscratcher (it's good for a joke). ;) The case is high quality and the handle itself is really well constructed and will get to parts you never knew existed (speaking from feedback). I'm yet to make a comment but it really is one of those bargains that every man shouldn't do without even in these hard times and for the woman who have no say in their relationships that still live in the 1930s. Unfortunately, the price has gone up to 7.99 though i paid 4.99 for it the best 4.99. ;)

PoetJA-1975 12-07-2008 09:26 AM

What an intriguing bargain there SHELLEY - I have a few people in mind for such a gift - they'd have to grow the prerequisite yeppity yeps to use it though. They'd probably want to stick with the Hulk and Transformer toys though

Jacquii.

punchbowl 12-07-2008 09:27 AM

Three vb.org mods have had a heart attack. I hope you're happy Shelly!

Lock down! Lock down!

PoetJA-1975 12-07-2008 09:36 AM

Well it IS sorta off topic and in the Community Lounge area - Shouldn't be a problem IMO - anyway - besides the "official offense" - wasn't too much drama for such an offtopic subject thread entitled "Recession Where? -- Paid Requests -- Recession How?"

I mean - we have discussed the "recession" - there has been an UBER KEWL pear posted - and talk of Hulk, Transformer DVDs and Ballscratchers --- Very interesting low-price gifts for the holiday considering the slowing economy.

But as I said in the 1st post - Seems like I've been in a recession since the day I was born... Aka - I'm wanting of a bank account with lots of dollars in it.... Alas - I was not born with a silver spoon in any of my orifices LOL

Jacquii.

Looks like a great gift to me as long as the hand part can be pre-warmed before use ;) What happened to your signature here Shelley...change of plans?

Funnily enough, the handle, which is rotatable, retains heat quite well and I can only assume once the scratching process commences the heat will only become more pleasurable for the man of today. I would hope the heat doesn't become unbareable once friction takes it's toll otherwise we can only imagine the worst case scenario. :p

A pair of over heated beauties. :D

Oh my sig, someone accidentely deleted my files so I removed the links here and will commence in rebuilding the site after the new year. That's if my procrastinating ways don't kick in.

Anyway, back on topic... yeah, recession woes. I blame nexy, it's all his fault.
