User Name = Image Mod

Would anyone be interested in creating a mod that allows users to upload or link to an image that they can use as thier username instead of just a text username...

Say a 150x 20 image could be uploaded in the usercp and then instead of seeing the plain old boring text name it would show a nice Photoshop type image with thier name, and users who can not make an image or whatever could still just use the text option.

Example:
Normal user name = Ev!L ErN!E
Image user name = http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/5285/eenametg4.png

Anyone interested in this? I know I would use it on my board for sure.

Maybe this can be done with profile fields, then replacing where the username is shown in the postbit with a conditinal to say if the profile field is filled in then display.

Is a pretty good idea.

I don't get it. Isn't this what avatars are for? Unless you actually want a script that'll generate an certain text-based image based on their username?

Yeah, I don't get it either. Why not just use the avatars for this purpose? Put a condition... if they have an avatar, show it, otherwise show the username.
