Umm it has to do with suddenly not being able to veiw post and download due to some weird licsense issue with my account..

Chances are you're going to get that generic message to update your info over on vbulletin.com. Have you tried following those instructions?

Well see thats the thing..I have had no reason to log into vb.com for the last 3 years...So...I can't even begin to remember the customer number and everything else to get in there. I mean seriously I been here since 2005, I have contributed a bunch and helped a bunch...and damn it if I lose out on this site now....its back to the heroin and crack again!!!

Well Lynne there lies the other issue.

That liscense and account was purchased for me by another party years ago..Im talkin when vb was like 1.7. It was his email, his name, his stuff..So here we are several years later and I am no longer in contact with him..So either Admins will be nice or I am about to be smited off this site for good..

Admins at vBulletin.org cannot modify your license status. If you are stuck using an email address because you don't have access to modify the license information, your stuck. Your best bet would be to either (a) change you email back to what it was or (b) contact the owner of the license to go through and modify the license details to reflect your new changes.

There are really only 3 options to solve this:
- Change back your email address.
- Contact the current owner of the license and have him change the email addresses.
- Purchase a new license.

vB Support will never make any changes to a license unless it is requested by the listed owner.

So people keep saying. I have changed the email adress to the original 3 times now and it hasn't fixed itself. I mean come on guys you can clearly look and see I was liscensed this whole time until I changed my email...give me a break!

It may take up to an hour for the update to come to vBulletin.org and mark you as licensed.

Except, when you change your email, doesn't it send an email to you to verify the change if email confirmation is required? So, you would have to still have access to the old email addy in order to confirm the change. I can't remember if that's how it works....
